I only like rice if there is some kind of sauce on it. I often eat noodles, but it also has to be seasoned in some way. I can eat potatoes plain, but I prefer gravy on them. bread is iffy. I can eat any of them, but most often right now it is either rice or noodles because that is most readily available in China.

I am a rice and noodle person, and I still think they should call rice and vermicelli the "San Francisco Treat" but I will eat it anyway! I put half a box of that stuff in a microwave steaming bag (a bowl with a steamer lid will also do) and an equal amount of quick brown rice, 1/4 chopped cabbage, chopped onion, sliced celery, and a diced sausage plus a cup more water than the box says and mmmmmmmmmm, I could live on that stuff. Beef? Chicken? Shrimp? Pork? Any flavor is fine with me as long as it has lots of veggies.
I never met a noodle I didn't like. Actually, all carbs are my friend

I am definatly a *bread* person. Give me a piece of meat, a salad (or veggie) and some bread and I am one happy camper! I love French bread. A 'crusty' bread with my meals.
Out of potatoes, rice or nooldes, I prefer rice. I just don't eat alot of it.

Rice is my staple food and I eat it daily. With out rice i can go upto a week depending on the other food available. I can take bread for breakfast but taking it always i have to say a big "No". Potato could be used as a side dish but not as a main food. I can take noodles twice or thrice a day

I eat a lot of bread and have started baking my own. Yummm!
I eat a lot of potatoes and noodles too, and also some rice, but not near as often. I have bread in some form every day.
I really need NOT to with all the carbs ...

I usually eat potatos more. Mashed, fries, baked, boiled.. you can have potatos in so many different ways. I like rice if it is fried, and I am not so much of a bread lover, I can do without it.

my wife is a filipina and she likes rice too but she has switched to brown rice as her filipino doctor advised her too..more fiber or something...but her chloestral is high so she has to take medecine and watch her diet...but i think her problem is in here genes too..i am german american and grew up on potatoes..but i eat rice sometimes..it is all a matter of mind over matter..as when i was in the military i had to eat a lot of things that were strange to me for four years...you would be surprised what you can do if you are made to...it altered my eating habits to this day..grain has gone up in price all over the world..and the price of farming has taken a turn upwards due to the recession that is making the cost of living go up and the value of the money to go down..good luck

Those are all fabulous 'filler' foods but my favourite is definately pasta. I'd quite happilly eat pasta every day if my family wouldn't get bored. It's so versatile and so easy to cook too. My favourite is just to sautee up a selection of veggies in some olive oil, and stir through a pan of pasta with some homemade tomato sauce. Yum!

I eat potato the most but it is potato bread. I have trouble with wheat products (can't remember the name of the syndrome) so I have rice or potatos. I eat a lot of rice cakes. They make yummy flavored ones now. I do love a baked potato. In fact, I think I'll go make one now.

I would like to eat all of those, but they all give me headaches except the potato. So, I usually use the potato instead of bread. I still eat bread more often than I do rice and I almost never eat noodles. I don't think I've had rice for at least a year, but would like to start eating it again as soon as I can get healthy enough.

Rice is a staple food here in our country. i can't live without rice. i might get satisfied with bread but that will be for two to three hours, and after that, i will still look for rice in my meals. maybe its kinda of psychological since bread or potato also is rich in carbohydrates and can be a substitute for rice, but since rice is part of our culture and tradition, i have been used with having rice thrice a day.

you're right. its not a matter or healthy habits but its a matter of custom. Philippines is a rice-eating country. most people treat rice as the primary commodity along with fish.

I go with rice, as it is a staple food here in the Philippines. A meal isn't complete (at least lunch and dinner) without rice!
