have you ever lied about your age, or your weight, either to look better, or to get into places like clubs, or get senior discounts, young people say they are older than they are to get into clubs, some younger people want senior discounts, some people are embarrassed about their weight and say they do not weigh as much as they do, have you ever done any of those things? or lied for different reasons, do tell

I don't lie about my weight, but I don't own a scale either, so I don't always know precisely what my weight is. I care more about being healthy and feeling good than what the number on the scale is. I also have never lied about my age, in either direction. I was a goody two-shoes when I was younger, and so never tried to get in somewhere I shouldn't be. And now that I'm older, I feel like I've earned the years I have, and whatever bits of wisdom I've been able to pick up along the way. I'm only in my thirties, but I'm going back to college after a twelve year absence, so I often joke with my younger friends that I'm an "old lady."

Sure I've fudged on my age. Before I was eligible for a senior discount, I went to the ticket window and said "one senior for (name of movie)" The thing that cinched seniorville for me was when I went to Sizzler and was given the senior discount. I had to answer the question in my mind: Tell the cashier I wasn't eligible or shut up and take the 20%??? LOL I shut up.

I'm not too embarrassed by my age, 35 isn't so bad but my weight used to bother me and I would lie about 10 lbs here and there, now that I've lost over 50lbs. I never lie about it.

I have lied about my age a lot, but only when I have to give it out in sites like this as I never tell it to anyone else to lie about it, i just never give my birthdate or age out to anyone, some of friends don't even know that info, for a couple of reasons, I don't think the numbers matter, some people judge a person by their age and plonk them in a little box as how they should behave, also there are a few businesses that used your birthdate as a type of security question and i guess I just don't like people knowing my birthdate...

good idea, never give out your birth day it can be dangerous as with spammers and telemarketers.

Yes, i have. Not about my age, but about my weight. Once, i wanted to do a test..i went on this website where you can create a free profile and meet other singles, like lavalife (before i met my hubby) and created two different profiles;one with my real stats, and one with a fake weight (like, much skinnier than myself) and waited a few days...my real profile had 2 messages, and the "fake" one had like 25 messages!! I was real upset that men would go only for physical facts, and ignore the personnality of a woman! cuz in both profiles, whatever was about personality, i wrote the same thing.

No, I've never lied about my age or weight. Growing up, everyone always thought I was older than I looked, though I never took advantage of this. My weight does fluctuate a few pounds, so I usually just estimate how much I weigh. I'd be embarrassed if I were to lie about these things and then have it backfire on me! But if no one asks then I won't tell.

I have never lied about my weight. It fluctuates between a few pounds but I always weigh around 100 or less so I just generally use that weight. When I turned 28 almost two years ago now, we were at a restaraunt with friends. It was one of those places that I hate to go to for birthdays because they sing to you. Well, the waitress said to me, "What are you now? 22?" I didn't lie, I just didn't correct her. I just smiled. So she announced to the place that I was celebrating my 22nd birthday. So this year I tell my husband that instead of turning 30, I am turning 24.

When I was younger I lied about my age. LOL I used to think that I would like about my age when I get older. But I have learned that I really don't care what my age is. I just want to be comfortable with myself. The same thing goes for weight. I think that the reason we hide those things is because we aren't comfortable with it so we assume that others would thing "negatively" of it. I am working on this everyday. :)

I can honestly say I have never lied about my weight, not when I was over weight or underweight. Nor have I lied about my age. I never tried to get into bars when I was underage, which is the only thing here you can do when you are young, so I never felt the need to lie about my age. I am also only 22 years old so I do not need to lie about being younger. I get people thinking I am sixteen years old enough as it is. I have lied for many different reasons, which I think would cause a comotion if I said what they were for.

I have lied about my age on a couple of sites in the past, but I now feel I am what I am. Lieing isnt going to change that so why do it. Then I have to try and remember what I said. Dont have a good memory so it usually doesnt work to well. I try not to talk about my weight at all. I am always trying to lose weight anyway so what I am today I might not be that next week. Could be less or more depending if the chocolate isle in the store attacks me.

I've never lied about my age or weight. I've omitted my weight as its embarrassing and I've always been glad my drivers license doesn't have it on. One thing i have lied about is being married. I'm single but when theres a creeper at a bar or somewhere that i dont want hitting on me i've been known to either say im married or engaged in hopes i'll get left alone.

I haven't lied about my age (because people always think I am older than my real age), but the weight... I didn't lie about it, too, but then I don't answer that particular question. If someone ask me of my weight, either I change the topic or just smile.

No Rose, I have never lied about my age or height or weight. I have no fancy notions about myself, I know what I look like and I know that nothing will change it. Its another fact though that due to the abundance of grey hair (genetic coz) I look like I am in my early forties whereas I am only 35! I know people don’t believe me, but that doesn’t bother me either. People are free to form whatever ideas they may want, I know myself and it’s an absolute non-issue with me. But yes, before I forget those days…we all lied about our age when we were freshly out of high-school and not yet 18 and could not go to see A movies. I remember, how red we used to become in the face when the ticket checker looked at us particularly. Even he knew the truth, but then again what is it to anybody

Normally I do not lie. Often I do not tell. Honestly, I wish I could lie that I belong to one of those in the category whom the government give big rebates, often the elderly.

i usually am honest about my age and weigh as I never experience something bad due to my weigh nor my age. Because, according to my opinion, the most important thing is our capability not our looks. however, for some jobs, people also consider the candidates physical performance.

Oh I think we all have lied to be older when we were young, like needing to be sixteen to get into a disco and only being 14 and saying sixteen. I have done that many a time in the past, also I remember being 29 and saying I was 30 to get into an over 30's single night. Weight isn't one I've lied about as I do not possess scales, so I honestly don't know how much I weigh, only if my clothes feel looser or tighter. Now I'm in my forties I tend not to have to make myself older or younger for anything, but maybe to get the bus free when in my late fifties I might to get a free ride. Ellie :D

Basically, I look younger that I actually am. And I do not seem to have that weight. But I prefer to hide my weight when someone asks me in public. I am just not as slim as some of the girls on campus and I do want to lose some weight. But if I am asked among my friends about my weight, it's Ok for me to tell them the truth, but only when there are not male there. I think man tend to talk about this about a girl and maybe make fun of it. I do care about that~
