when you are choosing a discussion for response. it does matter to me.i seldom click to see the detail of a discussion if i'm not interested or puzzled in that title.i just skip it and look for the next one. what about you? does title matter to you? do u make a final decision after a full content scan or stop in front of title like me?

WELL,in that case,it's a little troublesome. in addition, for people who surfs internet with a low speed like me,it's time-consuming.

A lot of the time if the topic looks interesting I will respond. If if is written by a friend (comes to my email), I will usually respond unless it is something totally unrelated to me (something about having a baby). Sometimes I will look at topics like that, but unless I can say a good amount about it, I won't respond.

It is the title that makes me want to scan through the text to see if this one is for me. If I do not like the title I usually will not read on at all.

I generally try to read beyond the title. I do have some friends that are interested in soap operas and wrestling, neither subject are of ANY interest to me. I'll skip those posts.

I agree with what most everyone else is saying: the title catches your attention, but it also has to be a well-written and worthwhile discussion to make me participate and read more responses as well. If it has a good title and I go to read it and it's boring or the same discussion everyone posts 10 times a day, I will usually look for a different discussion. Usually if something has a boring title I won't bother to read it unless I am bored, but the bad title doesn't always necessarily mean the discussion itself will be boring. After all, some people (like me) are just horrible at picking out titles! :(

i can't decide it in rush. thats true that attractive title of discussion would interest me to respond in there but not all of the tittle able to state clearly about the content and not all of people able to choose interesting tittle of their topic discussion although the content of discussion really interesting to respond. it needs skill to do that. for me, its not fair if you just skip any discussion which only read the tittle of the discussion. myownself tend to read fast what the discussion about but little annoy when i should read about long content in topic discussion. however, still i appreciate your way to choose any interesting topic discussion to respond by your self, dear

For me, a lot of times it is the Title of a discussion that either draws me in, or turns me away. When you have over a 1000 discussions coming in here all of the time, and you only have so much time to be online yourself, you have to be selective for what discussions fit you the Best. When I start a New discussion Title is always something I consider first, and then go from there.

For me I think the title is very important, if it's eyecatching and funny then it will attract more people to respond, I like catchy and humerous ones. They are the ones that make me laugh and will get me to them quick. A good title means a great discussion and you just want to respond straight away. Sometimes it's the title that interests you and grabs your attention more than the actual discussion itself.

I try to make my titles different, catchy or amusing and I usually add a picture on my discussions too. Sometimes it isn't easy finding the right words for a good, catchy title and I have to think about it before posting. I don't like to see single word titles, they don't give any information or even a clue as to the content of a discussion

A title does matter for me to response. If it is attractive or I can say something about it, then I would like to share my point of views. A title is also a brief description for the content of the discussion. It is as important as a book name for a book. A good name will attract more readers.

I hadn't really thought about it until now but I suppose I must do in someway. I tend to read ones my friends have started whatever the title but there are some they post that I don't really know anything about so can't comment, there are others I look at and think Oh wonder what thats about then there are some that I just flick straight over as not an interest of mine at all. Yes, I think it matters because that is the first thing that attracts you to answer a discussion. If the title is not catchy or is not very interesting, nobody will notice your discussion.

A catchy title will get my attention better than a bland one but it is the whole post that makes me respond.

The title does matter. As it will attract me to reply to this discussion or not. As I choose the discussions according to the titles.

Hello dear sophialin. I agree that the title of each discussion matters a lot. If it is an interesting and eye-catching title, it will grab my eyes firmly without letting them go to the other directions. It is the same when we are writing an article. To have more readers, you need to first think of a very good topic before you will have more readers. Thanks.

The title is what gets me interested! Yes, I agree, it is after reading the title that I decide to read the rest, or not! Unless it is from a friend, then I get an email with the discussion in it!

Yes, the title matters very much to me. In fact the only way I will read a discussion is if I find the title interests me. If I find a title which is about something I know about, I will read and see if I can reply with some good content.

I read all discussions by my friends- intriguing title or not. But, when I am just browsing myLot, yes, the title has to "grab" me.
