My male boss is a heavy smoker. He smokes as long as he is available. So our small office is always full of smoke every workday. As a non-smoker, I am really a little bit crazy about that sometimes. Does your boss smoke or are there some heavy smokers in your office?

I agree with you. But as far as I know, My boss now is undereducated. :( I think the well-educated boss will do better.

I only see my boss 2-3 times a week, I don't think he smokes. There are a few employees of mine that smoke, of course all smokers have to step outside the primisses to do so. I have never seen anyone smoking before but I can just smell it on them.

You are so lucky, bowtieguy, smoking even if passive is rather bad for health. Best wishes and thank you for your response!

There ARE smoking areas outside our office in our building, but he don't go there. Smoking is banned in our working area but the boss's office is exception, I don't know who made this policy, and unlukily, our offices are intercommunicating rooms!:(
Thank you, popocan.

My ex-boss smokes too much in the office and all his visitors smoke in the office too and yes, the office where i worked it is full of smoke. I had luck to move in other office where i am alone because i became pregnant and the smoke is very bad for the babies (and not only). Is irritating to work in such a place especilly because you stay there enough hours from a day of your life. In my country exist a new law that interdict people to smoke in public places (the office is a public place), even if it is not recpectable by everyone. I think that persons who smokes in the presence of the unsmoking people have no shame. Shame on them!

Yes, he is the same with your ex-boss. At the beginning, he went out to smoke with others but later when he became the owner of this small company, he didn't go out any more and what's worse, he invites his friends to come here, smoking and chatting, which often ruins my mood of working. Good luck, banipenet!
