Both Cameras are excellent cameras and you will find that professionals will have their own reasons for which camera brand they choose. I use a Canon DSLR because several reviews reported that the Canon was better for Sport Action Shots which is what I usually take. You can not go wrong with either brand.

In fact both of them are famous brands. It's hard to say which one is much more better. In my opinion, I prefer to Nikon because I have a Cannon camera before. And it has some problems and I got it fixed for several times but it doesn't work again. I feel frustracted to it. And Nikon is always the leading camera producer.

I haven't used a Nikon camera, though I know a lot of people who have who really love it. I use a Canon Digital Rebel XT and it's such a great camera, probably the best I've ever owned. So, I guess I'm partial to Canon.

Both cameras are at the top of the heap. I don't think there is much difference between them, but the difference between them and the competition is vast. Of interest, I recently read an article in Popular Photography that almost every camera at the Super Bowl was a Canon. I think it said that every photographer for SI must use a Canon. They didn't cite why, but it was interesting. I use Canon, and have for quite some time, but would not have a problem if someone wanted me to use Nikon. I do find that the controls of the Canon are a little more user friendly compared to a friends Nikon.

Well I am not expert when it comes to cameras. When I went to get mine, I asked my father which he preferred as he is very knowledgeable when it comes to cameras, computers, and pretty much anything electronic. He told me that Nikon is the best and so that is what I bought. I have been happy with it since day one.

I use Cannon for a long time. It's a good brand in camera. If you have chance, you can have a try.

Your question is like which is better a Ford or Chevy. Both are excellent cameras it depends upon what you are photographing and which feels best to you. I like the canon and will use the canon for a long time because I have invested in the lenses.

I think you just have to look at what is best for you I like Nikon best because of its user interface that seems to cattier to both the beginner and expert photographers and how vibrant the pictures are. I also feel that the Nikon is more of a beginner camera. To me you can start shooting great shots with little experience. With the cannon you can but I feel that you have to mess with the setting a lot more to get the desired effects. One thing though I like and also hate about Nikon is that they don't always give the customer what the customer says they need instead they look at what they really need. they put the needs of the photographer ahead of what the regular public thinks. with cannon I love that they are a little cheaper, they can use both Nikon and Cannon lens on their bodies with a converter. also I feel that Cannon gives the public what they want for instance higher ISO and longer video recording on some of their newer models but I also feel that it is a little bit of a gimmick with the higher ISO you get a lot of noise and with the longer video you could burn out your sensor if not careful.

I use a Nikon! :) I've heard professional photographers say that there isn't a difference in quality between Nikons and Canons, it all comes down to personal preference. My mom works as a professional photo editor, so she spends hours editing photos taken with both Nikons and Canons by different professional photographers, and she claims there is a noticeable difference. According to her, photos taken with Nikon cameras have better tonal value and color. She says that photos taken with Canon cameras are significantly less vibrant.
