Hi there... Yes I can say I have done this in the past. I have gone to the extent of cutting the bottom off and using whats left in there haha. Have a neat day...

I've never ever cut the toothpaste tube but might need to soon if they keep increasing fuels cost in our country.

I cut many cosmetics to make full use of it. I don't like when something is wasting, even a little of a toothpaste:). I cut body lotions, handcreams etc. I also pour a little water inside the bottle when dish washing liquid is almost exhausted. The same about shampoo. It is good habit I think because we waste too many things nowadays. Have a nice day, jazgottt.

the tube squeezers work quite well. i think they get out almost all you can get out of the tube..although i have never opened it myself to check, i am pretty sure. i have never heard of cutting it open until now. next time i will have to double check!

Hello, It sometimes seems near imposible to squeeze the last of the toothpaste out when it gets to the ends. I have cut it before when I have forgot to pick an extra tube up .It is crazy when you cut it all the left over toothpaste you will find in there.

I have never done that...I have actually never even thought about doing that. And it is a good idea. Is there really that much left in the tube that you can't get out by squeezing. I am going to try it at the end of the one I am using now. Thanks for the idea!!!

Yes, I do this with most tubes, anything that comes in a tube and most especially my muscle rub cuz I use it most often. Plus I feel like I get my money's worth when I can use that last little bit in the tube and in today's prices, this is a necessity in my house.

Yes, I am very famous for doing that. I did find some squeezy things that go on the toothpaste and scoot it up as your use the toothpaste. This is getting more toothpaste out of the tubes. Oh and by the way, are you aware that you only need to use enough toothpaste the size of a green pea? You don't need any more than that. This was told to me by my dentist. Hope this helps.

I haven't done it before. Usually I will squeeze the toothpaste until it's really flat. So my husband complains about it and he is usually the one who throws it into the trashcan. I love China

I fight till my last breath to get as much paste as I can before throwing the tube in to the dustbin. Well that is a good idea to cut the rind and squeeze out the maximum.

Oh, we used to do that a lot especially when my grandma was around. In fact she'd always do that. And you're right, there's always a lot more that's always stuck there. Well, now that she's no longer around & that I've even got married & live on our now....hmmmm...maybe I should revive the tradition? Hahahaha

i have also done it before i think with the assistance of my mother. but it was really her who did the "exhaustion" out of the poor toothpaste. it usually happens at night when we ran out of open stores where we could buy new one. meanwhile, since i started working i had a separate toothpaste, which i also bring at work and i never really came to a point of cutting it.

I've never done it before but its not a bad idea. Especially with the economy now adays, you have to use everything till its absolutely gone because we are all so broke...lol... But, I've never actually done it, I always notice before it's gone and go get more. Heck, half the time I'll go buy a new tube when I still have half a tube at home...

Yes i used to do this when the tubes where made of aluminium but now with plastic packing taking there place it is easy to squezze out the paste and i dont think much would be left behind if i am not cutting it out to get the best of it.

Hello dear sophialin. I have never done this yet. Usually I will squeeze hard to its full use until I think that no more would be available from the toothpaste before it is put into a recycleable bag and will later get it sent to someone who will recycle it together with some other recycleable things. Thanks for sharing, dear sophialin.

What I do is to open up the lower part, wide open, from the opening I put in my toothbrush to get whats still remaining of the toothpaste. For me it should not be the way toothpaste should be packed. I mean all related products must be packed in a see-thru plastic tube so that the content can easily be taken out. At this time of economic downfall all measures should be done to save on what we are using.

I don't cut toothpaste's packaging rind to make full use of it. I just throw it away when I can't squeeze anymore of the toothpaste out of it.
