Do you research a site before you sign up for it?

Sorry I am so full of questions but I want to find out how people sign up for all these new sites with most of them being scams. I have signed up for a few that were just launched and one failed almost immediately. I don't sign up for most of them when they first start out but it's better sometimes if you know they are legit because it gives you a leg up on referrals. I have yet to upgrade on any of the PTC sites I am with but I will be doing so once I make enough to pay for it online.
Do you research any of the PTC, PTR, PTP sites before you sign up for them?
What if they are new and don't have any payment proofs?
How long does it take before you decide?
Do you upgrade immediately on these new sites or do you wait to find out?
Do you go off what someone else tells you or are you more patient to find out for yourself?

Dude you are on a correct path do ask questions and do research before you join i wasted a lot of time on a lot of sites and finally realized the importance of doing some research atleast.
anyways good luck to you in future.

I will do some research if I decide to be serious and stick to a site.
but you know, you cannot get much information if it is a new site, and I sometimes will just give it a try.
but I will only upgrade on those wellknown honest sites.

Yes, as I have discovered that there are legit money making sites on the internet. I researched for information about the program for proof of payment, history, number of members and if its still active. It took me almost a month to decide if I would give it a try or not. I also ask opinions from my friends if they have encountered such websites. Luckliy, some of my friends are actually being paid that's why I decided to join. But personally , I think joining these programs are trial and error. You can never tell unless you actually recieved the money from them. I am also not asking for any referrals yet until I see to it that they are really paying. I just hope that they would really pay because even though my research is good and I have proofs that they are are paying , there is still a doubt.

wow, you'll need a month before deciding to join...
I guess you're really sceptical.
after all it's not something about a million dollar business, it's only joining a site.
and you may miss some really good sites if you are so hesitating.

I try to avoid all such sites because as you say, the vast majority of them are pure scams and you'll never see a cent from any of them. However, there are a few that I know of that are genuine and I did a lot of research on them before I started there.
The first thing to do is check on a few search engines. If a lot of people across a lot of different websites are guaranteeing that the site is genuine then I'll look into it. Of course, if they're complaining about it being useless, I'll give it a miss.

Dont join any site until you have seen proof of payment-you must also know the person referring you rather well-trust him before you sign up!

I used to do it. But since I determined to limit my activities on those kind of sites I do not make a research anymore. I don't wanna be tempted by them.
Happy day!

I am a bit wary of what I sign up for, the ones that I have joined have come from the good things said by people on here, because they tell you the truth about them so then I know that if I join then I will not get scammed. Other than that if I see one I like the look of I sometimes join it, or put it in my favourites until I hear if anyone else thinks it is any good! I have never upgraded on any site though I guess I would wait to see if it pays off to do so first.

Yes I do. The first thing I look for whn the web search is complete is any article on scam. I read the comments carefully and back away if I am uncomfortable with it.
Futhermore I just do not sign up with any site which ask that I pay some money or purchase an item as a part of the sign up process. If they are going to pay me as they claim they will, all they have to do is take their fees by withdrawing from my earnings. I dont pay for what I may never earn from.

I don't usually sign up for those because most of them ARE scams. However, I will always talk to people about any free money making site, to see if they have actually been paid. I realize that you are not spending any money but your time is just as valuable IMO. I won't waste time on something that firstly I don't enjoy and that also doesn't guarantee money.

Before... I don't. Whenever I get people (even people i dont know) referring a site to me, to check. I just go on it, without any doubts or anything like that holding me back. But then I got victimized once, and got a virus from a site i couldnt remember visiting (so i guess its one of those referral sites people gave me).
But, i dont know. I tried to get mylot referrals to the chatrooms i often go to and i thought it was quite rude responding to me as it was a virus I'm sending, and that I am making the whole mylot pays in your posts, and its a fun place to be on top of that!

What I do is basically, just try to find people who are using it. Usually that tells you a lot. If they are getting great benefits from the site, then most likely it is pretty legitimate. That is what I personally think. But I do not rush into it. If if looks pretty legitimate there is a high percentage of me joining. But I am a strong minded person, so I will not just jump on something when someone mention a great site.

I always check out a site brfore becoming involved. With the information so readily available, why not use it? I don't want to waste my time on scammers or people that run an inept site.
