Internet not working right...

This is the strangest thing...I can get only a couple websites to open (myLot being one of them) but most won't load up. None of my email servers will come up and eBay won't either- which is annoying me to no end because I was going to bid on something that has now ended just about 20 minutes ago...grr. They're coming out tomorrow, they checked when we first set up the service and said our interior wiring was causing an issue and our DSL signal was low inside...but I haven't had a problem until today- you know how it is, the ONE day I want to access a time sensitive website- ARGH!!
Why would some sites load (albeit slower than normal) and others not at all...? It seems to me the internet connection is either working or it's not. Is it just the amount of bandwidth the site needs or something? Weird. Annoying regardless of the reason. Normally, as long as myLot is loading I would be happy as can be! lol

What browser are you using? And what OS? If you are on XP with MS Internet Explorer then this is really strange.

I have Vista with Firefox, as I have had for quite some time now (at least a year) with no problems. Though the internet provider and phone lines are new.
The phone company is coming out tomorrow to see what's up- it seems to be inside wiring. We upgraded our phone service recently so it includes inside wire maintenance now.

I saw that you have vista and use FF, and use dsl. What is strange is around 3:24am this morning I had the very same problem it lasted for about 30 minutes then cleared up for me.
