its already being my problems too hun, since i spending many hours in front of computer. i still figuring it out about the proper way to relax my eyes. what i am doing at now is put screen protector in my computer screen to reduce the radiation, consume some nutrition for eyes, take eyes drop which similiar has function as like artificial eyes drop to moisturizer my eyes and consume carrot juice in everyday or in each two days. but the most important thing, don't force your eyes if its already getting tired. just close your eyes and do another activities rather than in front of computer. i am not sure that it would be working well with you, but for me i have a better result.

I find the best way for me to relax my eyes (that I have tried) is to close them - and then put a little weight on them like my fingers - this helps to keep restless eyes closed and from flickering around too much. I also found that a patch helped greatly when I had broken my glasses - to keep the bad eye shut or even open but not having to see and focus, so I can imagine a sleep type mask would work wonders!

try ou palms Modestah they will work out better than fingers. You need not press it also. Just put the center portion of the palm over the eyes and cover them completely. They will help you relax. For me also one eye is weak. I also use to cover one eye and then do my work, but I get a headache then.

I like to use slices of cucumber which is very cooling and revitalizes my eyes, just a slice of cucumber on each eye, lay down for five, ten minutes which gives you a rest from the computer and let the cucumber work on those eyes, amazing results. I can't put drops in my eyes, my eyes automatically close as soon as the drop is coming down, aaaaaargh!

I work with computer too, and Thank God in front of my desk there are a beautiful view of trees and a fish pond, so every time my eyes feel tired with the computer I just shifted my eyes to see trees and grass in a distance. People said that we must do this every 15 mins with computer but sometimes I just forgot... At home I sometimes put a slice of cucumber as an eye mask and it feels so good...

I also keep looking at a distance, shifting my eyes every now and then. We are not supposed to look into the computer screen for long. Every 15-20 min we are supposed to shift our eyes for a minute or two atleast I do that most of the time.

To tell you the truth I have never done anything to relax my eyes, they do get very tired and sore sometimes but I never give it a second thought about doing anything for them. Maybe now I will use a couple of your tips and use them to relax my eyes.

Have you ever tried palming your eyes? Just close your eyes when they get tired, place your palms over them and make it dark for the eyes. Your eyes willbe relaxed after 5 minutes. That burning would have gone. Sip water whenever you can. Even dry eyes due to lack of moisture also hurts like that. Blink your eyes and see. If it is irritating drink more water. Your body needs it. All the best

Hello dear sophialin. I also love to use eye drops as it helps my eyes feel relaxed after long time working at either the table or the computer. I love to use it especially before I get up because I find it hard to keep eyes open after waking up. So it is the best way and best time for me to use it.

I use meditation, close my eyes, use eyedrops when I am using contact lenses, and rest my eyes from the computer or television!

It is said that the eyedrop will do harm to your eyes, coz the chemical substance in the liquid will make your eyes more uncomfortable if you have used it for a long time. I think the best way to relax your eyes is to blink quickly, then the self-secrete liquid in your eyes will let your eyes moist which is better than eysdrop. Another approach is to see the distance or close your eyes for a break. I have the problem similar with you, coz I sit in front of the compuer everyday. So take care of yourself.

yeap, eyes are very vital to us, so we must protect our eyes and keep them away from too tired. there are many measures mentioned in the posts that can be taken to ease our eyes... maybe, they are very useful... but sometimes ,they may be forgot or can't not be maintained .

when i feel uncomfortable in my eyes after long hours of computer operating i usually use to take a rest and wash my eyes with water and then take some rest by closing my eyes for sometime and i feel relaxed after doing this and also i feel my eyes to be better after doing this.

Mine would always require big scenes to look at. Nice views of landscapes or the wide sky while the sun is still hiding behind the clouds. To look far away so that your eyes could relax and like lenses, would zoom out instead of zooming in, too much focusing that gets the images to pixelate until focus is again in order. Like how computers have a hard time rendering an image when the image is too much zoomed into. Its kind'a the same with the eyes. Strained due to too much zoom ins

I now have to use glasses when working for long periods on the computer and they have a special protective anti-glare coating on them much like a screen that someone else mentioned. The screen helps, so does changing your focus every 15 minutes or so, just look away from your computer and gentle focus on other things. Do that for a minute or two before going back to the screen. Also eye drops do help but I wouldn't rely on them alone. Doing a variety of things that people have mentioned will certainly help your eyes. Along with the (unacceptable) suggestion of doing less computer work!! Ha, Ha!

I think the best way is to sleep more. In some occassions like after long hours of reading, having late nights etc., I would also use eye drops or I would give my eyes a gentle massage.
