I was learning the violin but I am quite rusty as it has been a good 2 yrs since I last played it. I played clarinet all through high school and excelled at it but gave it up as soon as school was over. I wish I hadn't. I bought a saxophone a couple yrs ago and picked that up very quickly but my family complained it was too loud...lol. Well, hubby said yesterday that he will buy me a clarinet!! Yea!! I am very excited to begin playing that again and since I did well very quickly on the sax, I am sure it will all come right back to me. I hope so! How about you...do you play an instrument?? If you don't, did you in high school and are you sorry you didn't keep up with it?

I actually use to play the viola in elementry school. I remember being so discouraged that I wanted to quit but my teacher in school wouldn't let me. Well, when I got to middle school, I never played again. I had actually gotten pretty good at it too!! I regret it truthfully, and honestly, I wouldn't have a clue where to begin if I tried picking it up again. It was just too long ago!! But I encourage you to play, and keep playing!! Play your little hear out!! I just know you will be good at it!

I know how to play Piano, Organ and Guitar but not so very good at it. I learned it when I was young. I don't play it now..because I don't have any of those instruments available. I had an organ when I was young and it broke and my brother never fixed it or if he did he gave it to his daughters. The Piano was owned by my cousins. When they went to the states I didn't get to play on it again. It is now sitting there in their old house where no one lives because they're all in the US. The guitar ~ another brother of mine taught me how to play it but all I learned on it is 1 song. It's called The One I Love by REM

I was forced to play the flute as a child (the school's music lessons required it) but otherwise, I never learned an instrument. I'm planning on learning how to play the acoustic guitar, and eventually, the electric guitar.

I play the piano for nearly 15 years, actually, it was my parents who asked me to start it at the very beginning, but now, I just find that it is kind of a good friend for me sometimes. You know, when you tired, you may enjoy playing for a while. And whenever I hear some good melody from TV or something, I could download the script and try it myself. That's my favorate part!

I took years and years of guitar and piano lessons when I was younger and enjoyed playing both instruments for quite some time. Since then I of course started working full time, got married and had children. I don't have the time to play my guitar and piano very often now. I am also extremely rusty at both, but the daycare kids think I am the worlds best musician! LOL

I have played the violin for more than 30 years - but it broke a couple of years ago when my child was playing it and knocked something into it or it into something. :( I really miss playing it as it is a good means of comforting oneself and occupying oneself with good things.

I've play piano all my life. I wanted to learn to play the violin. The only problem is, I didn't learn how to play it until I was 56 years old. I'm still practicing......I play almost every day and play the piano every day. It's something I find a lot of joy in.

I play guitars, flute and recently I started taking piano lessons. Its been a long time since I take notice of my guitar. The last time that I played with it was when in high school. I like playing instruments because it eases my moods.

I taught myself how to play the guitar at age 14 because one of my classmated bullied me by saying I am too dumb to learn how to play it. It was too hard to learn by myself, but I managed it. Although, I can only strum. I also taught myself how to play the flute, but I couldn't get the hang of it. If I had it my way, I wish I had learned how to play the piano, too!

I never had a single music lesson and never learned to play anything at all. When I was about 12 or so, my older brother bought me one of those little table top plastic organs and I loved it! The book that came with it had numbers over the notes so you didn't have to be able to read music (I still can't), and I learned how to pick out the few songs there very quickly. I still know some of them (Mary Had a Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle, and believe it or not, The Marine's Hymn was in that book too!). When walking by a piano or organ, I still reach out and play those few simple notes 38 yrs later.
