Hillary Hits Obama:

United States
March 26, 2008 3:55pm CST
: I Would Have Quit Church Hillary Clinton said she would have left her church if her pastor had uttered the kind of inflammatory remarks made by Barack Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright at his Chicago church. “He would not have been my pastor,” Clinton said Tuesday in an interview with reporters and editors at the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. i agree with her on this after hearing his rant i personaly would have gotten up right thenand walked out of his church,i have on occasion done this when i dissaproved of the teaching we must be discerning as to the tea hing we place ourselves under

She "would have quit church", huh? It my opinion this is stupid. First of all, I belive I'm not responsible for what my pastor says (altough I dn't have literally a pastor a I'm catholic). Obama can disaprove his words as a human but that doesn't me he can fire the pastor or stop going to church because of that. Maybe he hasn't been politicaly correct but there was a point one can't deny. Hilary Clinton says some not_so_true things herself and the tries to cover it up. I'm from Europe by the way so I won't vote anyway but I do know the situation in US and I do belive that Barack Obama would be better president that HIlary Clinton.

she didnt say she would "quit church" she said Wright would not be her pastor. she further explained that you cannot choose family but you can choose who ministers to you. Obama does not have good judgement when it comes to this matter and I think it discredits the "new kind of politics" he boasts about. I dont think he would be a better president at all. he doesnt speak for me and many many millions of others.

A lot of women would say they would have left their husband if he cheated on them as often as Bill did. But she was able to forgive and unserstand his problem. Is no one else allowed to do the same? People in glass houses............

Well Bill wasn't a racist either and Hillary never said she'd leave him if he cheated. This is politics where marriage is critical to getting ahead. It doesn't need to be a happy marriage.

I would have as well. My pastor doesnt talk like this in my church. We talk about God and the bible and living a good christian life. I am glad Hillary finally said something in reference to the Wright situation. I know I would have left that church if I was in there.

You have got that right! I most certainly would of left the church. Not only that I might of stood up in shock and would of had to call him on that right then and there. I don't think I would of been able to stop myself from doing that as I would of been in shock that a pastor would speak such a way. I honestly don't think I could of sat there. If I did manage to sit there I would never have gone back and I also would of gone to see him about it in person to let him know why and recommend he get his life in order with God. I have a feeling though that the first senario would of been what would of happened.

That is one of the great things about America, people are free to choose where they worship God! This also makes it their choice as to when they agree or disagree with the teachings of a pastor or teacher in authority. The reason Barak Obama attended this church and listened to this pastor spout his hate for 20+ years is because he agreed with his teachings, no other reason for it!

Because obviously you attended all of Reverend Wright's sermons and have logically deduced that all his speeches were hateful? :)

Ah, Hilary.. she's acting like a child. This whole competition thing she set up against Obama is ridiculous. That's why, if I could vote, I would not vote for her. Her behavior is infantile.

I agree with what she said but I wonder.... Why is she just now saying something about it? Why now? ...................mmmmmmmm, Maybe it has something to do with her being caught in a big lie and she wants to take the media focus off of her and back on Obama.

Well religoiusly speaking many persons in the earlier days would have proclaimed how much they would leave their church if it started to sanction homosexuality, endorse homosexual pastors/preist/leaders, cover up for riligious leaders who molest children especially little boys as we've seen and heard recently. The list could go on and on. But it happened and most members did not leave their church. They did not become anti Catholics, anti Anglicans or anti whichever church this applies to. They voiced their disapproval, even held protest but stood by their church leaders just the same. Many of these poeple still do not agree with the stance their religious leaders have taken but they didnt up and leave the churh. My point is that Hilary can say this now but I dont believe her. If the tables were turned and Obama ridiculed Hilary saying he would have left the church as well I would not believe him right off the bat either. It is easier for us to say what we would do when we're not in the situation but reality brings out the true personality of every man. Politics is a game of crowd pleasing to gain popularity and votes. As a voter, though not in the US, those vieing for my vote wont win it by soothe saying. I still need to see those two endure the battle to the end inspite of what is thrown at them. May the better man/woman stand to the end. When the time for leading the country comes around its their strength which will matter not their ability to point fingers and play doudge ball.
