Ive been on mylot for about 3 weeks now and have made a total of 94cents which is 50p in the UK so in order for me to reach payout i need to be on mylot 24/7 or wait 10 weeks for my payout of $10 (£5 in Uk)!!
How long was you on mylot before you reached your first payout??

I have been here for quite some time, and my grand total is 0.99 right now, but i think its easier to reach the payout if you stop worrying about earning, and just enjoy the posting. I see the earnings on mylot more as an extra benefit that the first priority, realy..
happy posting

You've only got 65 posts, so that's more than a penny a post.
Being here three weeks doesn't mean a thing. Posting does.
Be active and the rest will come.
I made payout in 12 days last month (my first month). You're paid or what you do, not for the length of time that you're here.

Glad to help.
Look at it as having fun interacting with people. The payout is a bonus, and it will increase.
I tell people to treat this like talking to your friend on the phone, or your family over the dinner table.

That last bit is very true that the amount of time that we have been on mylot, its how active we are!
Im trying to join as many discussions as i can, with a very long response.
Im still new to all this and am learning new things about mylot each day!
Thank you for your post!!

Well, what I have learned in the almost 18 months I have been here, is if you worry about your Earnings you will get disgusted and leave here. Personally, for me, and many others it is about Friendships, and learning New things.
One tip I can share though that helps your earnings, is if you want to be able to make at least .50 cents a day, is try responding to like 20 discussions a day if you can. Also when responding back to a discussion, make sure your responses are quality length. The best thing I have learned is if it is at least 4 lines of quality length, it will help you earn more.
Welcome to myLot, and wishing you the Best.

Luckil this week ive been off (using up my holidays) so have been able to contribute more.
Thanks for your tips.

As you can see from your responses everyone takes a different time to reach payout. My earnings today have just gone over the $10 minimum and I only joined in late February. However I have made ten times more posts than you have.
You must remember that this is not a pay-per-post site. We don't know how our payments are calculated but earnings are based upon our activities and the quality of our posts, not just on the number of posts we make.
You may not be able to spend as much time on myLot as I do but when you get into the right way of using myLot, you see your earnings rising more quickly. The best way to use myLot is to enjoy yourself, by taking part and making new friends, then your reputation and your earnings can go up faster than you think.

How much time do you spend on here at a time? I think I have been spending too much time on here in the past three weeks since I joined, but I am already at $7.79. Were most of your answers as long as this or were most of them shorter? Based on the fact that you are at .94, your answers must have been pretty well liked because for he first 200 posts or so, I was only getting about .o1/post. Now I am getting much more. I think once you hit 100 posts, you will have a star rating and you will have a better idea where you stand. You might want to set a goal of responding to at least 10 discussions a day (or whatever seems reasonable to you) so that you can get moving a little faster. I spend most of my free time on here, but that is stopping me from working on homework. Good luck!!!

I think you will see your numbers go up if you make sure you have several sentences in each post. I think best responses help and when people hit the plus + on your response helps a lot. Keep up the good work!!!

I dont spend alot of time on my computer as it stops me doing housework, I'll put the tv on and sit by the computer.
I might try and aim for 10 discussions a day, I think to start of with my answers were short as i didnt realise this had anything to do with the earnings. Though I have had 2 best replies which Im proud of. I should go back to those discussions as I obviously did well!!
Do best replies effect the earnings or is it to do with reputation?
Thank you for your comment and dont forget about your homework!! lol

We really dont need to consume long time here like 24/7.we just can participate for our free time and should valuable or helpful and interesting points so that we can earn good response from other people and not just to do something to fill in the space and wait for the earnings to increase.me i dont force myself to participate long enough, i just drop by in a day to post and response in some points and dont wait until my earnings reach the points of pay out.

Lucky for You!!! I have been on My lot for over a year now and have never made payout. I am still at $ 6.10 with several post and responses. At this rate I will have to spend another year on here just to get paid.

Hello Ms Cinderella, 10 weeks to achieve $10 is not that bad. I got my first $10 after 4 months, and the next $10 after another 3 months. How fast you can reach that payout depends on your participation level as well as your contribution to myLot in terms of the value you add in your activities, and I believe quality of your posts count greatly. So you can make that 10 weeks come faster by increasing your contribution level. All the best for you efforts. I hope you will get your first payout quick enough.

I've been on here for more than three months and I still haven't gotten paid. But that's because I haven't participated as much. But yesterday I participated a lot and I got $.32 which is the biggest amount i've ever earned in a day. If you just participate and start discussions then you'll earn a lot. Just don't worry about it and have fun, oh and when you respond don't respond with one lines. Make sure to at least write more than three lines.

It taken me two months to get to my first payout . I have been on quite a lot but I don't have a job, so do this to earn and have fun.
I don't think it can be thought of as in time but in responding and starting discussions. I think it gets easier to earn more, the longer you are here so don't give up hope. Some members would disagree but I'm definitely earning more per day than I did when I started.

I've been on mylot I'd say...oh about 4 1/2 weeks and I finally reach my first dollar 2 days ago lol. I first checked out this site because of the money, but it doesn't come very quickly, so I don't think about the money so much now and I just enjoy responding to topics and creating them. That's fun in itself!
Watching my earnings rise is a plus though!

Actually, that is good on your part, because you've just made 64 posts, and already, your money is 94 cents. I have made 100+ posts, and my money is just about 69 cents! Guess I have to spend more time here in order to reach the payout - bit I don't mind it, as I love participating the discussions here.

I have just crossed my ten dollars requirement two days back. Well, that's just great as I intend to use the earnings to renew my domain names. My earnings from mylot.com from last year till today has been used to purchase domain names plus couple of other online products.

Im glad to hear that you are able to put your earnings to renew your domain names and online purchases.
It is fun to join all the discussions and hear other people from other countries to see how things vary out!!
If i understood domain names i think i would probably do the same but I'll just stick to the discussions!!
Have fun!

Most people are not on mylot just to earn money, hopefully you are not becaue you will not earn a living just by hanging out on this site. This site is actually about making friends from around the world. I really dont spend much time on this site and I have earnd right at about $5 for this month. You want to make sure that when you are posing or responding to something that you focus on the quality of what you are saying, and not so much the number of posts that you placce into the system. You might also want to add an avatar this will draw more people to your proflie which will attract more friends. When you have more friends more people will actually answer your posts which will in turn earn you more money. hope this helps :) good luck.

Some good advice there, thank you! I have a full time job so dont really need mylot to earn a living, someone suggested the site so I decided to join and check it out. I am enjoying making friends from all over the world. Its great being able to discuss with people and not have an expensive phone bill!!
What is an avatar? How do I add one to my profile and how does it work exactly?
Thank you for your advice!!

Wow that is great my friend. I am waiting on my earnings to be updated. All I know right now that I am close to payout. I am very happy about it because this will be my first payout. I am really enjoying my experience with this great site called mylot. This site is actually pretty fun and so easy. Especially when you finally get the feel of the website. I actually do not like myspace anymore, because they are childish in some cases. And plus it gets boring on there. I never really get boring on here, and I believe that the opportunities on here are just unlimited.

I agree the website is easy to use and is fun! I have never used myspace, it never appealed to me!!
How you dont have to wait too long for your payout.

if you can spend more time on mylot the better because it will increase your earnings immediately. maybe you have a full time job so it is not easy for you to do so. i made my request of payout last 2 weeks. spending 1-2 hours a day posting comments and discussions. 1 made it for almost one month. i am very happy when i reached the amount. you can also do it in yourself. keep up the good work and good luck my friend.

I try to spend some of my free time on mylot, hours have been cut next week so I'll have more time - Ive only got 3 days of work!!
Glad to hear that you reached your payout and I can imagine that it must of been a very proud moment!
Im trying to join in aleast 10 discussions a day, so that will help.
Thank you for your comments.

I think that is the best way, just to look at this as fun and the money that you do earn is an added bonus. Thats what everyone has been telling me as noone actually knows how our earnings are ranked.
Someone suggested to reply to say 10 (or what suits you)discussions a day as that will help your earnungs, make sure your replies are long (I think more than 4 lines is good but obviously the more the better)
Enjoy mylot!!
