What kind of '...a-holic' are you?

Humans. Sometimes we love one thing a little bit too much. Like work. Or shoes. Or books. Or alcohol.
I've had this previous discussion about collecting things, but I think this '...a-holic' thing is one thing different from that. [I used 'I think.']
Some people love to buy shirts. Some people love staying overtime and just work their butt off. And then most women love shoes. I've heard this lady on TV who said what whenever she sees a really cute pair of shoes, she has a "ShoeGasm." It's a bit a weird concept to get turned on by shoes, but hey! Maybe it works.
My stand is I loveLOVElove collecting art materials. I always have, and I always will. I love color a lot. I like the sight of my messy desk with all those pencils, notebooks, pens and markers--it's a good sight to see in the morning. Well, lately I've been only looking at it; I don't have the 'creative juices' to go ahead and make something out of it, anyway.
I'd really love to know--what kind of '...a-holic' are you, and why do you think that's what you're addicted to?

I'm a perfumeaholic! I just can't ever seem to resist a new fragrance. When Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab comes up with a new limited edition, I'm hooked immediately. It's like an illness! I have more perfume than I can ever wear now. It's ridiculous. I just love it so much. Oh dear!
Knowing what different oils are in the blends and working out the different notes is intoxicating to me.

If you go to www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com and look at the F.A.Q. page, it shows you how to order internationally, or you could check out eBay as there's always some up for sale.

I'm actually a little bit allergic to perfume, but I miss True Star a lot.
My aunt gave me a sample of perfume from Chanel, and it's for women but it smells like it's something for men. I love scents like that. The girly-girl ones make me sneeze 'til my nose gets all runny.

I think my son is a art-a-holic and he is only five. He loves pencils, crayons, glue, scissors, construction paper, paper clips, markers, chalk, etc ec you name it he loves it and does something with them everyday. I'm starting to run out of room to hang them.
I'm a coffee-holic and can't go without it. Even when I was pregnant I craved for coffee or caffeine the most and red apples too LOL

wow that is something new, apple has caffeine in them?!? i'll have to do some research on that because my son eats lots of apples and that's worrying if it has caffeine in them.

PENS. pens!!! Oh my gosh, have you heard of Inoxcrom? They're this brand of fountain pens from Spain and I buy them whenever I have the chance. They're just so cute--if they were food, I'd probably swallow them whole! =)
...clothes. I don't love clothes a lot, but clothes are great as well. Actually I just came home from the mall, and my mom bought me a high-waisted skirt with suspenders. I know it sounds corny, but it's the only thing that makes me feel like a size zero right now. Haha!! I'm so vain...

Work a holic.
Thats probably the most fitting. After that its game a holic, and that is now questionable. Then theres anime a holic, but I've seen way worse cases than mine. Ah, I've got one. Science a holic. There's one that has no doubt. Plus technology a holic. Yep, those are fitting!

My ten-year-old sister's totally into science like you are. She wants to be a chemical engineer someday.
Everyone's totally hooked on technology, even I love seeing all those iPods, iPhones, laptops and everything else. Haha. XD

I went out shopping last Saturday and came home with 3 new books. They were only new to me as I bought them from a second hand charity store. I was so excited about them, even though I have some unread books at home, I could not have been more pleased if I had found gold coins. So I guess I am a bookaholic.
I am also a myLotaholic.

Oh I do read every book I buy, that's why I was so pleased to find 3 I wanted to read. I read on average 2 books a week so I will soon have read them all and by then I will have bought some more.

I read from a book this quote about a man who loved collecting books, but never really read them. So--technically he wasn't collecting books, he was just collecting paper with ink all over it.
It'd be nice if those other books you got--you read them. Sure it can get totally boring, but my mom told me that reading makes us smarter.
Naa. I didn't even take her advice. XD

Cool. XD
I loved chocolates back when I was like, stuck in not getting over my boyfriend last year, but when I started doing calorie counts I just stopped eating them. But I miss chocolates a lot--I really do.

I'm definately a chocoholic, but i'm also a book-oholic. I absolutely love getting new books, and they have to be 'new', for some reason second hand books don't quite do it for me. I love books that are brand new, shiny and still have their spine in-tact, call me strange but there's something special about a brand new book that no-one has read before.

Agreed. It's quite similar to getting that new box of Crayolas and just smelling them like they were fresh from the factory. That's one of the best childhood memories I've ever had.
And--yes, of course. Sometimes it's pretty hard to enjoy something that's not in 100% perfect condition. My dad has a hard time understanding that I only get something when it's exactly how I pictured it in my head, so I always have my stuff customized. I always have to check if the paging's right, there are no stains in the book, and absolutely no sign of damage--and not a single crease. That counts for a lot.

I love sitcoms too! Well, the only thing I enjoy watching is friends. I never got to really watch it back in elementary school, so I want to make up for lost time. =)
I've been pushing my dad to by me the entire DVD set. There's like, the whole ten seasons being sold at the mall, but it costs over a hundred dollars. So--it's another waste of money.

I'd have to say I'm a scrapaholic, I love scrapbooking, and I am also on the lookout for new products, things that can be used for embellishments, I went to my first scrapbook weekend retreat, it was great. We scrapbooked til 1:30 in the morning, had a great time and lots of laughs. I am always taking pictures, and I received a new camera and printer for Christmas. I'm also making plans to start up my own retail scrapbooking business, I should have my website up and running by the end of May!! I'm always looking at ideas for layouts, storage, organization and everything Scrapbooking.

I've never heard of something like a 'Scrapbook Weekend Retreat,' but it sure sounds like fun.
I remember Oprah saying in one of her episodes, "It's a good thing if your mission in life is something you love to do," and I think you embody that statement. That's just great.
And if in case your business turns out well, I'd love to see your shop in the Philippines. I have boxes and boxes of memories here, but I never get to arrange them.
Maybe I'm a LazyAssAholic as well! =)

I used to be a shopoholic, I have been able to get it under control though with a budget and just limiting how many time I go out in a month.

Oh it's not so bad. I mean like you can still go out every week without spending a cent.
Trust me. I've been doing that ever since. XD My dad never has the 'money' to give us our every whim, so we can live by simply looking in. But I'd really love to buy stuff though. ='(

I used to love Battle Realms and the Sims back when our old computer was still usable.
Now I play Super Mario. It's like, I'm hogging my little sister's console [Nintendo DS]. I am so mean. =)
