I love artichokes. . . .may possibly be my favorite vegetable.
what is your favorite artichoke receipe?
using whole artichokes, baby artichokes, artichoke hearts, artichoke bottoms, or marinated artichokes.

I personally love to throw artichoke hearts quartered into a "sauce" with olive oil, garlic, toasted pine nuts, diced tomatoes and fresh basil. I serve this over whole wheat pasta...to die for.

Hi, welcome to mylot. I too love artichokes. I wish where I live they would sell them year round, they are only available around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Here is my mother's Italian recipe: for 3 artichokes, 2 cups of Italian bread crumbs (we really over stuff them Hmmmmm) 2 cloves of garlic, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1/4 cup of grated romano cheese, put into a pan 1/2 filled with water cover it and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
