I had a siamese Cat...We named him HOP-Sing (remember the cook on bonanza ?) He lived 21 years and I should of named him mister perfect. Now ive had a few siamese in my life and they where pranksters let me tell you...one loved to open the bathroom door to see what you where doing lol.Hop-sing was a male and very sweet he raised several kittens for us caught a mouse once..as soon as it sqeeked let it go...and never tryed to harm another living thing. My children would dress him ( and our poor dog) up in baby clothes and put him in a stroller he was so patient with them. He even survied a coulple of pups and 2 grand kids. He was very good never left the yard when he went out. He was a sun worshipper would lay out all summer we would have to coax him in at sundown. we lost Hop-sing the day before x-mas last year...we will miss him he was a part of our family for so long. does anyone ealse have a favorite lost pet story ?

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of HOP-Sing, It really hurts when you lose them. He did live a very long time, my vet told me that anywhere around ten is a long time. I lost my sixteen year old cat about two years ago and I still miss her like crazy, I can't believe it is two years already.
If you are not familiar with the story of the Rainbow Bridge, please look it up on the web. That is where HOP-Sing will be waiting for you when you go to heaven. In the meantime, he is healthy and playing with all the other pets that have gone there before him and just waiting for you to cross the bridge to meet him.

I am sorry to hear this about the loss of your cat. Losing a pet is rough, and sometime this year we probably are going to lose our dog, miniature schnauzer as he is diabetic and every so often he needs to have an increase in insulin, but there is only so far you can go. He remains stable every now and then but eventually it ends and another adjustment has to be made.

I am sorry to hear of your loss, but living to a grand old age of 21 is a very good age for a cat, he must have been well loved, cared for and spoilt. Animals are more than pets to us, they are part of the family, a family member, companion and someone to love us unconditionally. You get sooo close to your pets and it's heartbreaking when they die. We've always had cats, I prefer them to dogs, they are far more independent.

I am so sorry to hear that. Having lived twenty one years is not a joke. You must have really taken care of Hop-sing that much. I am sure that you and your family would miss him so much.
Well, I remember when I was younger, we had a dog who gave birth to eight pups. after about three weeks, two of them got lost. We suspected that one of our neighbors must have taken them. Why? Because we hear some puppies crying especially at night but we couldn't seem to find where the crying is coming from. Everytime we hear the puppies crying, our dog would howl like crazy. After about three months, our neighbor have two dogs that looks like our dogs. In fact, one of them looks very much like our dog who gave birth. I wanted so bad to ask them how they got their dogs but my dad discouraged me from doing that.

Losing a wonderful pet is so sad. It really is like losing a member of your family. As your post says, you have wonderful memories.
Take care.
