who is your favorite chinese film star?

don't ya know that the ONLY Chinese film star I know is Jackie Chan NEED I say more?

Without a doubt Jet Li is my favorite Chinese movie star, sophialin! He first came to my attention during the late '90s when I saw one of his films. I saw him in a few other films off and on, but he really received a lot of attention from the movie Romeo Must Die. I have quite a few of his movies in my collection but I need to add his two latest ones, War and The Forbidden Kingdom.

I love Jackie Chan. His movies are one of a kind and very popular. Not only that, he embodies and is one of the good model from these phalanx of actors and actresses embodying hard work, excellence and power. Power to bring out the best in him. Excellence in his actions and has great impact. A known hard working fellow that doesn't have any inhibitions at work.

My favorite Chinese actor is Chow Yun Fatt from Hong Kong. He is quite a prolific actor who has starred in many films. I think he started his acting career with the HK serial Man In The Net (the Good, the Bad and the Ugly -HK English title) and later into films like The Story of Alan with legendary Sylvia Chang, the well known A Better Tomorrow 1,2 n 3 where he co-starred with legendaries like Ti Lung and Leslie Cheung (demised), The Killer, American Shaolin, The God of Gambler 1 n 2, Peace Hotel, and then his stardom in Hollywood for the film The Replacement Killers directed by the well known action movie producer John Woo, then starred in other movies The Corrupter, Anna and the King, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Bulletproof Monk. Of late he has been starring in China productions like Waiting Alone, the Post Modern Life of My Aunt, the Curse of the Golden Flower with Jay Chou (the current hottest singer in China) and Escape from Huang Shi. He has acted in many movies and I have just listed some of them here as his prolific accounts here. I find that he is a very talented, versatile and charismatic actor who can fit into the many characters of a film be it the old classic Chinese folklore to the modern living society films. I am just awed and captured by his acting. I tipped him to be the potential Oscar Academy candidate.

Male fighting star, i will prefer Donnie Yen, starring in SPL and flashpoint ^_^ As for female, i will choose, cameron diaz because she's my favorite actress after starring for, in her shoes.. hehe

i like Jackie Chen and Jet Li too,and i also like Donnie Yen.they all have a subtle charm.

jackie chan impress me a lot that is why he is my favorite chinese star. he is very funny and i like his moves on his different film. i don't have female yet...or maybe i forgot. can you cite any example of a good chinese actress?

i love gong li. Being beautiful, she have an excellent acting skill. chow yun fat is also a good chinese actor.

Bruce Lee who acted in 'Enter the Dragon'.

I like Bruce Lee who acted in 'Enter the Dragon.Likewise,Sophia Loren who acted in 'Cleopatra'.

I like Jackie Chan for his work in the Rush Hour Films, however I also like Jet Li for his work with the Late Great Aaliyah in Romeo Must Die :) I'm leaning more towards Jackie however because he is really funny, but I like them both... :)

I love Crounching Tiger, Hidden Dragon! I think this is the best chinese film ever. Li An is very talented director. :)

My favorite male Chinese star is Chow Yun Fat and my favorite female actress is Joan Chen. I first saw Chow in The Replacement Killers.He was great in that film. And then I saw him in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.What a classic. It was the first film I saw in Chinese and not dubbed. That was a dream come true. With Joan, I first saw her in The Last Emperor and I have seen her in Saving Face and some other films.She is great.

I do not have a favorite, but I like so many Chinese actors! Jackie Chan is one of them and the newer ones are excellent too! I cannot wait for the film festival again this year! I like the Korean film actors too! I cannot remember names well but I do like the films!

I love Jackie Chan. He is my favorite. He is very versatile and is very natural. I've been dying to see him in person. The last time I was in Hong Kong he had a shooting there in one of his movies. But due to the traffic jam I wasn't able to get to see him. Too bad. I have watched a lot of his movies. Most of them I enjoy very much!

Definately Jackie Chan. He is hilarious and I always look forward to his releases.

i love jackie chan - i love all his movies, stepehen chow - great actor and director and i also love some of his movies that was starred by him, zhang ziyi - i really admire her because she was very pretty and she can portray any characters and it really suits her and last but not the list shu qi - i also admire like zhang ziyi. glad she can also do some comedy movies
