Where You Live, Does It Have A High Crime Or Low Crime Rate?

I hear so much on the news all the time about the crimes that happen and sometimes it all seems to be in one area and I think I am glad that I do not live there. Where I live the crime rate is low and it is very rare that you hear about any serious crimes happening, and that is one of the reasons why I have not moved even though I do not like the area I am in. How is it in your area, do you too have a low crime rate where not much happens, and you feel relatively safe, or is it very high crime area making it a hard and sad place to live? Have you seen your area slip into chaos over the years and what sorts of crimes happen?

Where I am living right now even though I have a choice of living somewhere else is a high crime rate of the worst kind, "WAR" I have seen explosions assacinations, Children going hungry, people loosing everything they have in this world. men woman and children being put in body bags in pieces. Why don't I leave? Because I'm hoping that I can make a differance.

Thats really bad, do you think you can make a difference? it would be nice to think that we could make a difference to situations like that. You have seen some bad things then by the sounds of it.

I might not be able to make a difference in the whole of the problem, But I know that I have already made some differences by bringing people together that others have thought was hopeless to do. I'm hoping that That I can teach the people to be think with one heart towards their country because that's what that need to achieve peace at least where i am. There are so many different groups that the people don't know who to listen to or follow anymore.

Where I live is a high crime rate. I live in the dc metropolitan area. Everyday on the news it is crime this crime that, just senseless crime. And this is the nation's capitol. It really gets worse when the weather gets hot. but it's a year round thing. Even the white collar crimes. lol

What is a white collar crime if you don't mind me asking? Do you see a lot of crime or is it mainly away from you?

It is good then that you feel secure, I like to feel secure where I am. I do not have any choice but to stay put for a while longer, but if I move to another place then it may appear nicer but it may be a horrible place to live!!

I live about 5kms outside of town,a group of 9 houses. We had our first robbery a few months ago.Groups of thieves from Naples get driven up,left off, they steal a car and rip off five or six houses. It's kind of difficult to put five dogs to sleep,so I'm not overly worried but when I came here,we used to leave the key in the front door.

I live in a relatively crime free area while over abt six miles is a city that is crime ridden with violent gangs and drive by shootings and a lot of illegal immigrants living ten or twelve toan apartmen.low wages, povertya nd crime.
Here in tustin its almost free of crime and there are more weathly to moderate well off people here and also middle class but few illegal immigrants. Tustin is a really great place tolive

I live in a place where a crime rate is high, i don't like what the other people doing here, but who am i to control them, sometimes i was just thinking to move from another place, but i love this country, this place is rich in natural resources but what i don't like is the other people wasting their lives for nothing. they tell that this place is a Christian country but i don't see it in a way they act its very unchristian, full of rallies, abuse innocent people, full of anomalies in the government, telling lies with our good preacher and a lot more, i hope God will help us. and I'm hoping that someday we will be in peace.

We cannot control them and thats the sad think, why should people have to move though from places that they love because of the other bad apples who do not seem to have anything better to do than destroy innocent peoples lives with their actions. Its so sad that we see all this senseless crime happening.

Luckily where i am is a relatively low crime rate! There have been 2 events recently that were noted - the garage of neighbours across the road was broken into about a month ago and there was a fight in a pub about a mile away yesterday - over football of course! lol I know there are more crimes than that but I do feel very safe in my area! xxx

It is good to feel safe in the place where you live, I would hate to feel nervous of the place I live.

Where i live we have one of the lowest crime rate in the country although we are only 22 miles from London U.K which is where the crime rate is high. It is only a small town where i live and it is very rare for any serious crime to happen so i do feel very safe here.

Unfortunately I do live in a country where the crime rate is high. It is a very beautiful country which is spoilt by the crime rate and economic conditions.
The major contributers to this crime situation, in my opinion, are corrupt cops, politicians and misguided youths.
The government of the day has thankfully taken measures to come down hard on corrupt politicians and more and more the reins are being tightened on dirty cops. They also have it as a part of their major priorty to work with and develop males between the age of 14 and 29 as they are the major felons at this time.
The Government is young, as they are just now in office for the past seven months. Even though I tend to be a bit sceptical of politicians I think this government has some great plans, a few already implemented and others to come on stream soon, so I give them the thumbs up.
The Prime Minister has a one nour slot on a particular radio station where once per month he addresses the concerns of the poeple live on air via a call in program. MAny nationals living overseas also call in and make their contribution which I think is very good.
We have much work to do but by the grace of God we will be able to realize our goal of a virtually crime free society and economic prosperity. We'll just all have to put our hand to the wheel and help it to turn.

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me about this, it sounds as though there are a lot of issues in your country, I think if everyone worked together to combat this it would go a long way to making the world a better place.

Where I live its very quiet but Im sure its a whole different story if I lived abit further down the road, near the shops where all the kids hang out.I do feel safe in my house as we live in the upstairs flat right at the end so we dont get people walking past unless they caom to knock on our door. Though I must admit that I dont like being in the house on my own at night - that phobia I have had since I was 10 years old so its nothing to with the area that Im living in.
Its not a bad area, but some of the people you know to stay away from as they can be nasty but they havent been nasty to me or my family!!

Its good then that you do not get much bother where you are. I do not mind being on my own at night or anytime although my house makes some rather strange noises! Sadly there are nasty people wherever you live now, the trick is to know who they are and avoid them at all costs!

As far as I am aware the crime rate isn't too bad out our way. I read online that it's actually dropped over the last year. It's still sad to hear about some of it on the news but I think overall it's ok here in Virginia, USA.

Where I live I don't see much crime happening. If it does it's so minor that you don't hear about it. I actually like the area I live I just wish the house was bigger with maybe more room. LOL! I would have loved to have a four bedroom house but alas I have a 3 bedroom house it will do. LOL!!!

Right now I live in a smaller town. Not real big at all. The crime rate isn't high at all. Before I moved here however I lived in a larger town with about 90,000 people and it had the crime rate of Chicago. I'm not joking. The town's nickname is actually Little Chicago. It's really ghetto and you really have to be careful. I mean some guy got shot and killed in the street by my moms house.
