Its possible. Even in the present countries are working on advanced robotics, advanced programming (AI), humanoid robots for informational purposes, humanoid robots for working purposes. There are so many questions and so many ethics involving this possibility. Will humans have their employment replaced by robots, bringing an unprecedented decline in society (as the humans are not producing, working, and earning but the robots are)? Its also possible, this scenario may relieve people of work and allow them unprecedented work (as all of things are taken care of). What about rights? Should humanoid or intelligent robots be afforded rights the same as people? What if an AI was created that could match at least the average intelligence and capability of a human? What if that AI had some of the same hopes, dreams, and drive as a person? Should that person be afforded rights? Or is it still an inanimate object and thus incapable of having rights? Humanity has been down this road before, ironically with its own people (who's a person, and who can we make into a slave). Can robots be trusted? Can AI be trusted in certain areas. Even in the local workforce (construction, traffic) there could still be problems with the robots and lives could be jeopardized. In more critical areas of human society, the problem becomes much more visible. Imagine AI controlling police, fire, military, defense/weaponry...government... Now if the permeation was only a fraction of this, the concerns are there. Robots carrying out broad programs of enforcement "only to follow program protocol" or robots deciding for humanity, since humanity is "inefficient" at the matter. There is also the "Skynet" option, where AI decides humanity is an enemy after being charged to protect it... No matter your beliefs, hopes, or concerns are, no matter your stance, there are many issues about this topic that must be considered seriously. One false move could lead to our own demise.

I think robots will make ou world very insecure-just imagine human beings mingling with metalic objects who may fail to observe the computer commands and start attcking humans left and right!! I want urge alot of restraint in the use of robots-they are really very dangerous to put tust in!
