I just recently joined mylot and have been browsing around for the last couple of days. I saw a discussion about valentines day and what the woman would like to get. The last couple years my girlfriend and I have celebrated Steak and Blo* Job day, on march 14th.
I was browsing the internet and found a website for it. If you google March 14th you will see it. We have spread the word around our circle of friends and found mixed feelings on the subject. I would like to know what all of you think. Do guys deserve an emotional/physical holiday similar to Valentines day? Is it something that you would do, or your partner would do?
All I know is when we get a new calender, its the first thing written on it.....Tell me what you think??

"they have a regualer valentines day too!"
A non-reciprocated valentines, or a valentines with the tone "not good enough"... yep that's regular
...but very discouraging.

LOL this is the first I hear of this day. That's for telling me about it. I think guys deserve this, and I'm going to tell my GF about it right away :-D Thanks again.

For a more established day, try looking at White/Marshmallow Day.

But with this, the whole story is that women treat men on Valentines and White Day is when men return the favor.
And yes I've also heard about the day you are specifically mentioning.
Maybe there should be something since spending an efforts are greater and are more men to women than they are women to men.

I had no idea about the white day tradition. Thanks for the info. After reading that article, it seems like the candy companies all over the world are the ones that really benefit from these holidays. Them and the floral industry as well.
