I love sweet potato fries, probably more then regular fries. I've never been a fan of sweet potatoes before trying the fries because I always had it in a casserole format that I really didn't like. Since trying the fries I have tried sweet potatoes a few other ways and I enjoy them. I've made baked sweet potato fries at home a number of times, but I much prefer the deep fried variety.

I love sweet potato fries. There are a couple of restaurants that serve them in my area, and once my husband made some for me. That was challenging, though, because the raw sweet potato is very difficult to cut. They sure were delicious, though. I usually eat them without any spice on them. When he made the sweet potato fries at home he put some garlic salt on them. I think it was a mistake at first, but we continued to put them on the following batches because weird as it sounds it actually tasted really good.
I am a big fan of sweet potatoes anyway, and a huge fan of french fries, and so for me it was a no brainer. I would encourage anyone to try.

There was a restaurant back in Ohio that served these and I would go there specifically for the sweet potato fries, served with a side of ranch dressing. I loved them. I've never tried to make them at home though. We usually just bake our sweet potatoes just like an Idaho. I don't make many fried foods at home, but would definitely go out for these again if I find a place with them.

I had sweet potato chips once. They were interesting, dusted with cinnamon sugar I think. I also had a similar chip from Pringles. I think I liked the real sweet potato chip better, but I can remember where I tasted 'real' sweet potato chips.

well yes. Sweet potatoes are quite common here. Maybe they are not prepared the way "French Fries" are made. These are hard and crisp. But I love them. Great while reading a book, watching a movie, or even working on the computer.

Here in the Philippines we call sweet potato, Camote. What we usually do is to boil the whole sweet potato then eat it either with sugar and margarine. We also fry them , but we add brown sugar to it. It is usually eaten during afternoon snacks. It taste good when the brown sugar is caramelized. Either the sweet potato is slice in circles or thick strips like in fries. We also add sweet potato into vegetable dish, while the leaves of it which are called camote tops are used for salads.
