Or who in your family is left-handed? I don't know why but what ever I do I always to it to the left, I don't know if it is a habit or my brain is just telling me that. Do you think It is Heriditary? I as over my Daughters house yesterday, and I notice my Grand-daughter is Left-handed, that is why I was asking is it Heriditary? My writing is kind of sloppy too. I try my best though. How about a Family member. I am always get humor about me being a lefty.

i'm left handed, and so are my sisters. but i don't think its hereditary. my parents are not. my cousin who taught me how to write is left handed, and i was the one who taught my sisters. i was the one who taught my son writing, but he's not left handed. i don't understand why people are making a big fuss about being left handed. although i read somewhere that lefties are the more talented & intelligent people. :)

I am right handed, but I can do lots of things with my left hand. I was in a car wreck a few yrs. ago, I had no use of my right hand and arm for many months. So I learned how to do lots of things with my left and still do them with my left.

I had surgery on my right when my wrist got dislocated, I have also had some problems with carpel tunnel. I will wear splints at night when it gets to bothering me. I do my best to keep my wrist straight at night, that seems to help. I have to shake my hands and arms sometimes too.

that is great vicky you do things with both hands, I have Carpel Tunnel syndrome, You know what that is were your hands get numb when doing different things. that bothers me a lot. my hand get numb and sometimes I half to shake them so they won't be to numb, usually when I am driving, my hands get numb, both of them. And I had Surgery done on My left wrist. so that tends to still bother me.

I'm one of the chosen few who are in our right minds also! Welcome to the club. I was the only one in my family to be a lefty but finally, my granddaughter is also left-handed and she is extremely intelligent - high honor roll - and very artistic. I got good grades in school but I'm sure not artistic...lol! My handwriting is quite good, or so I've been told all my life so being a lefty doesn't dictate whether you write nice or sloppy. Remember back in the 1992 Presidential election all three candidates - Clinton, Bush Sr. and Perot - were lefties? That must say something about lefties having a large number of high achievers relatively speaking. Annie

I'm able to use both hands equally for some tasks, but am right hand dominant when it comes to writing. Actually, I can use my feet just as well as I use my hands. Just call me a monkey!

I am left handed and the only one in my family to be so. Remember only left handed people are in their right minds. Only 10% of the people are left handed as well. It has to do with brain dominance. As a child, the nuns made me write with my right hand, I had so sit on my left hand, the left hand is the hand of the devil.n Give me a break. I can't write with either hand now.

I am left-handed, so is my husband and my daughter. My mother had an accident, and she became left-handed, my two sisters are left-handed too. I guess it is hereditary!

I am not left handed, the only one in my family that I know of to be left handed is my brother. I had such fun when I went to Boston several years back as in the Quincy Market there was a store that catered to lefties with all left handed products - such as notebooks with the spiral edge on the right side instead of the left... I think the name of the shop was South Paws, but I am not absolutely certain.

I am right handed, i don't think its hereditary because i know people who are left handed and they're the only ones in their family that are. Weird, but no one in my family is left handed

I'm left handed too. My Great-Grandmother was, and my daughter looks like she will be, if she doesn't end up being ambidextrous. There is definitely a gene that runs through our family. I have also heard that Gemini's tend to be left handed too, because we are more creative, and they say that left handed people are creative too. My handwriting is only sloppy when I am rushing or I don't care what it looks like. When I take my time and actually pay attention, my handwriting gets compliments.

I suppose if I was to take my time, My hand writing would be neat, I don't write very often, when I use to work, we had to log things in a Book about Patiece and Clients. So I would try to write neat.

Both my sister and I are left handed. Both of our parents were right handed, I only write left handed but my sister does everything left handed. When she got older she bought scissors and other things etc. for left handed people. She tried knitting and even did that backwards. It forsn;t bother me - my writing used to slope backwards and I worked at it until it now slopes slightly to the write. Being left handed has never been a handicap for me.

My mother is left handed, but she has pretty neat hand writing. I have several siblings that are left handed as well. Actually I think 3 out of 7 are left handed. Both of my daughters are right handed though. Actually my mom I know is ambidextrious(not sure on the spelling on that) Not for sure if my siblings are or not.

My mother and my cousin are both left-handed, I am not, but I know how to do certain things with my left-handed. I drink water and tea with my left hand sometimes, and I can type words with my left hand only and play bass on the keyboard piano with my left hand.

I could have sworn I answered to this discussion earlier my friend, but it seems to have disappeared into the Mylot Mist! What I said before was that I'm not left-handed but my youngest granddaughter is, and I don't feel it can be hereditary because she is the only one in the whole two families, who happens to be left-handed. Brightest Blessings.

I am left handed, though I don't know if anyone else in my family is. My mom, dad, and sister are right handed, as well as both of my kids. And I don't recall any of my aunts, uncles, or cousins being left handed. In my case, my being left handed is not hereditary, but rather a fluke. I had actually favored my right hand until I became deathly sick with spinal meningitis when I was a toddler. When I got better I favored my left hand from then on. My penmanship isn't too bad, except for when I write something quickly or my hand is tired from writing. I'd have to say my writing was better during my school days though and I always got a good mark on my penmanship.

Hello fellow lefty. My mom is also left handed. Just the two of us. Weird. I cut right handed though. My teachers when I was little always gave me the left handed scissors and I would tell them I needed the right ones. They just said No your left handed. Made me so mad. Are you or any of you like that with the cutting or throwing a ball not with your dominate hand?

I have not seen any left-hander in my family. My father is a right hander but he plays badminton with left hand. Same way I am also a right hander but I put thread in the needle with my left. Strange!
