Those following my every so hectic, almost crazy, existence I call my life for the next 3 months will undoubtedly agree that CYN REALLY NEEDS A VACATION! You're all so very right! Now to save me the stress and the hassle of deciding WHERE to go I want you guys to tell me where you think I should go. Or if you have never been on vacation where is one place YOU would love to go. If you have been on vacation WHERE has been your favorite place to vacation. Here are the requirements I set before I begin planning a trip. 1. The place has to be warm and tropical during the end of July or beginning of August. 2. The cost for a 7 day 6 night stay including air fare from the Northern east coast has to be less than $4000.00 USD for 2 people. (ALL inclusive resorts are a MAJOR plus) 3. I can't be on a plane for more than 8 hrs to get where ever it is I am going. And finally... 4. It has to be a prime snorkeling spot where I don't have to worry about getting eaten by a shark while I am chasing the pretty fishes with my camera. See why I am asking you guys to plan my vacation for me. Save me the stress. It will do my body good. And who knows, this vacation may just turn into my honeymoon if the timing is right. So get to it guys. Where should I go? Where has been your favorite vacation spot? Where would you just LOVE to go if you had the chance?

"Save me the stress. It will do my body good. And who knows, this vacation may just turn into my honeymoon if the timing is right. " ... ...Fine. Since you brought this up... Plus you're still my dear anyways, hard saying no to you at times... ************************************ Lets go over the list. I'm going to get some tea, and you may want to get something to drink too. This may take awhile. "1. The place has to be warm and tropical during the end of July or beginning of August." Carribean, Bahamas, Jamaica. "2. The cost for a 7 day 6 night stay including air fare from the Northern east coast has to be less than $4000.00 USD for 2 people." Well, I'm trying my best here and maybe I've found something. It is for two people and you can pull up your own quotes. I cannot post samples reliably since it depends on your browser and there isn't a save/share option (save for creating accounts). I was getting some total packages for $3900-4200 full package. There are also various resorts on each island to chose from. Be sure to note what each resort offers. In terms of Atlantis, some are more towards families (but can still have couples) while others are marketed towards adults and couples only (Sandals is more like this). Sandals http://www.sandals.com Here's whats included with those resorts (though some obvious items will vary) http://www.sandals.com/general/included.cfm You can compare their resorts here (usually by prices, number of restaurants and country. Just keep it somewhere nearby) http://www.sandals.com/general/compare.cfm?resort_code=an Atlantis http://www.atlantis.com Carnival-Caribbean http://www.carnival.com http://www.carnival.com/SearchResults.aspx?SaveSearchToProfile=true&src=qp&dest=C&destinationText=Caribbean&minDays=6&maxDays=9&startDate=07/01/2008&cruiseMonth=July&endDate=07/31/2008&embkCode=MIA&portName=Miami,%20FL There is also FDR in Jamaica but its toward families more so. http://www.fdrholidays.com/ "3. I can't be on a plane for more than 8 hrs to get where ever it is I am going. " Then it'll definitely be in the Caribbean... Most flights are non-stop, but there are others that have one stop in between. "4. It has to be a prime snorkeling spot where I don't have to worry about getting eaten by a shark while I am chasing the pretty fishes with my camera." Definitely the Caribbean and that area. The resorts should have beaches and activities for snorkel and scuba (both Atlantis and Sandals will cover this easily). You don't have to worry about sharks. ****************************** All and all you'll probably do well in either the Bahamas or Jamaica. I've vacationed in both places. Very relaxing and quite wonderful.

I agree! What she said! Lol. I know of a lot of places you can go for cheaper than that, but not with snorkeling as an option and less than eight hours on the plane! You never know when you will be sitting on the plane for more than eight hours without actually going anywhere!

Cruises are a great option for an all-inclusive vacation, and they are probably the most convenient and stress-free thing you can do. I was on Freedom Of The Seas for 1 week, and saw many people who, while on the ship, decided to extend their stay. It was a truly impressive ship, the food was excellent, and there was a lot to do. The only drawback for me is that you don't see much history :).

I have the perfect place for ya. Come see me in Florida! You can stay in Orlando. If you are a fan of roller coasters, we can go to Islands of Adventure, if not. to Universal Studios. We can take a road trip down to the Keys and do some snorkeling... its only a 4 hour drive. After that, we could go to Beautiful St Augustine. Then we can head to the West coast of Florida and snorkel in the Gulf of Mexico, then Go to Busch Gardens. There. Its all planned! I'll wear your @ss out!! LOL ok ok we don't have to do ALL of that.. just a though

Hmm. Interesting proposition you make here. And I was actually planning on going to Discovery Cove in Orlando to swim with dolphins until I found out that the same thing is offered for A LOT less in the Dominican Republic. It would cost me and my daughter $1600.00 to spend the same amount of time in FL and it only cost $1808.00 for us to spend it in the Dominican Republic. Dam tourist traps! But I have always wanted to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa because I have been to the one in Virginia and I love that amusement park. What is the weather like at the beginning of December? Is it really warm enough to go snorkeling and to an amusement park or would I be too cold to enjoy it? I really want to visit FL but know I would definitely need a "tour guide". Heheh. Let's plan a Christmas myLot reunion in FL, sound like a plan? lol

I was going to make the same offer except I'm not in Orlando. I live right across the bridge from Tampa though! 1. It is definitely warm and tropical during the end of July, beginning of August! 2. It would only cost you around $500 to fly into Tampa and then your food while out and about and necessities - far less than $4000.00 for 2 people. 3. You definitely wouldn't be on a plane for more than 8 hours, not even including the return flight. The flight is only right around 3 hours depending on where you are really coming from. AND 4. I have a spa tub along with a couple squeaky dolphins and fish toys. I can throw those in there for you and take pictures. HaHa! You have to bring the snorkel gear... just kidding! I have some you can borrow!! *SMILE and SAY CHEESE!* Nah, there are plenty of snorkeling areas all around this state where you could snorkel and be safe. Heck we could even take you to the Florida Aquarium and toss you in the fish area with your snorkel gear! It would be stress free, good cooking, a free tour guide and a lot less money! What fun!!

Well, I'm not much of a traveler myself but I would love to go somewhere in Europe. It doesn't matter if it's downtown area in a beach as long as I have my feet on Europe hehehe.. Obviously, you wanted to be in an island. Probably, I suggest Kuh Samui. I'm not really sure about the spelling of the place but I guess It's somewhere Thailand or close to that place. Hehehe.. Anyway, just do some research on it if you want. When I do vacation, it's always been to my home. I live away from home so whenever I have the time, I go home and visit my entire family.

Plus - you get 27 Rupees (local currency) for every 1 on your Dollars. Let me know if you are interested and I'll send you some more info on good places to stay etc...

I never wanted to go any place cold. I'm a water baby. If I can't swim and frolic in the sea it wouldn't be much of a vacation for me. Maybe one day I will visit Europe but I don't see it on my calendar anytime soon. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You could try Roatan,Honduras. Fantasy island is a scuba hang out. Though we just snorkled. It was great. It could be quite hot in July though. I don't really know we went in January. Fantasy Island is actually a 20 acre island off of Roatan. There are night clubs at the west end of the island that are pretty popular. West End and another town right beside it. I can't remember the name right now. But if you look it up it would be easy to find.
