Are you still satisfied with Drew Carey?

It's been several months since Drew Carey has taken over as the host of The Price is Right game show. Do you like him in this role? Do you think he is doing a good job?
I hated him at first and kept watching but he is getting better. I still think he is a little dry for the part though. He will never be as good as Bob Barker and I don't think we should expect that but I just don't find the same thrill watching the show with him as the host.
Your thoughts?

I'm happy with him as a host. I think he enjoys the role and will continue to get better with time. I think he was the best choice for the job.

Actually, I disagree. I've seen him not know the rules to the games and have to pause the show to find out how to proceed. He just doesn't cut the mustard! They need someone that has a smooth personality to take over that show. He's too dry!

I think he is a good replacement for Bob Barker. I like when he ask the people who get to spin the wheel if they would like to say hi to anyone sometimes he does forget. He is getting better everyday.

I didn't really like him doing the show, at first, either. But now that he has been around for awhile I like him. He gets right into it and cries or laughs with the contestants when/if they lose or win. He gets right into the mood. I have been watching the evening show now, the million dollar show. I am amazed that almost every show I have seen someone wins the million. Do they only show those shows? Makes a person wonder, doesn't it? I mean I have watched at least 10 shows and in every one of them someone wins it.

I do like Drew Carey and think he is a good host...As long as i can remember it has been Bob Barker and yes he will be missed because we just automactically relate him to the Price Is right so yes i am somewhat disappointed but not with Drew Carey, but its just the fact i will miss Bob Barker...I think if Bob Barker has to be replaced that Drew Carey makes a good host but in reality we will be disappointed without Bob,it will take some getting use too...I do know though that over all the years of seeing bob Barker ,there does come a time when we have to back down...Will the "Price is Right ever be the same? NO it will not,but its time for change and if the younger people seeing Drew Carey for years & years, and he finally gets older and has to back down the younger group will probably feel as we do about Bob Barker......Time moves on sadly.....

Thats true. The younger generation will think it was Drew's show. I've seen him not know the rules to a game and that was a bit upsetting. Afterall the host should know how to explain the games to the contestants. I also feel that he tries to get the winners off the stage ASAP. Seems like Bob never did that in that manner. As you say, times change!

I think Drew Carey is an okay replacement host for the show The Price is Right, even though I think they might could have picked someone better, even though no one could be as good as Bob Barker, and I wish he had not retired, because I remember when I was a little kid,I always watched The Price is Right, and now that Bob Barker is gone from the show, and Drew Carey is the new host I just dont feel the urge to watch the show anymore.

I have always been a big fan of the price is right and loved watching Bob Barker on it. I know it may not be right but I just don't think that Drew Carey is the right one for that show. He needs to losen up some. But a person also should think about the fact that Drew Carey probably realized the size shoes he was trying to fill. That may account for him being the way he is on the show. I watched it twice since he has been host and just don't enjoy it the way I did when Bob Barker was the host. I have stopped watching the show.

I completely agree with you. I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago and he was very dry indeed. It's kinda hard to see where they thought this would be a good replacement.

It is extremely hard to replace an icon. Bob Barker was Price is Right. Period. I haven't watched it, seldom did anyway, but it is just not the same without Bob. THey should have just canceled the show and done a similar one for Drew. Kind of like replacing Johnny Carson - still hasn't been done, but they have tried and tried. If a favorite show of mine did this, I would just stop watching. Just isn't "my show" without the originals!
