How old should a child be when they learn to wash clothes? Is 8 too young? Does the minimum age change based on whether it's a girl or a boy?

Gender does not matter. A boy needs to learn as much as a girl does. As far as age, they are never too young to learn how to clean up after them selves. My kids help me with the laundry all the time. They help load the washer and dryer and after I fold the clothes they put them away. My kids are only 7, 5 and 2. the 2yr old dosnt put away but she will help load the washer and the dryer.

All of mine, including the 6 yr old know how to sort. After their baths, they know where to put the towels, warm, cold and whites in the laundry room.

It doent matter wether it is a boy or girl. The age can be depend upon physical fitness of child.

Ok..thanks. I still hear people saying boys shouldn't have too, but I TOTALLY disagree. When they first leave home, who's going to do it for them then....hmmmmm?
