A strange & a bit scary thing happened yesterday...

I went to my friend's place yesterday with my brother. He is a bit scared of dogs and my friend has a pet tipsy (dog). Tipsy was tied, but it was barking at my brother non-stop. Then, when we were returning, Tipsy just broke the chain with which it was tied & it came ranning towards my brother really aggressively and he got scared and shouted like anything. I was talking to my friend so I didn't realize this till he shouted and then I too got scared. But it didn't harm us in anyway so I felt it quite strange and didn't understand why Tipsy ran towards him so aggressively and then just stopped. Whatever be the reason am happy that nothing wrong happened.
Did you ever had any similar strange experience with dogs or any other animal?

When I was a little girl ,say about 6,7 years old.I went to the grocery store to buy some candy.All of sudden a big dog fierce dog came runnig towards me,I was so scared that I made my best to run as fast as I can,just running nothing going through my mind.Bang!I hit a rock and fell off the ground.God!The dog ran aggressively right behind me ,but I couldn't get back on my feet ,I thought I was going to take a big bite by the dog.Thank goodness,the dog just stopped,sniffed for a while and turned away.I thought maybe the dog figured out that I was just a little girl,not a bad man.But I was really terrified that time.

Well,I too was barked by a ferocious dog{my family dog!!} when i was young.
It seems that it had the habit of barking at that particular time.
As noone went that day it started barking me !
I became very much sad.........
But,now I am not like that.
That dog is still alive.and you wont believe it ! I am his best friend today and I just cant imagine without him now !

Dogs are always chasing me. I think they all have some agreement to try to eat me!

My strange experience was getting caught in the middle of a dog fight. I have 4 Shih Tzus at home, and 2 of them are females. One is 12, and the other is almost 3. When the older one growls, and the younger one is nearby, they usually get into a scuffle. We're afraid the younger dog is going to hurt the older one, so I picked the young one up by the collar to get her out of the way. The older one jumps up and latches onto my arm, and will not let go. Eventually she lost the strength in her jaw to hold up her weight, but yeah, i had never seen her act that way before.

That has never happened to me, thankfully, but I do know animals can sence fear, if your brother has a great fear then that could be why he was barking and ran towards him. Animals come to me all the time but more in wanting to play, smell and lick me. I'm glad it all worked out ok for you and your brother.
