Do you find that different months reflect your behaviour, your moods and your depression levels? Do you find each year that certain months are always hell and others are fantastic?
Does your life follow the pattern of the months?
I woke up today, April 1st and I absolutely LOVE April! So I felt much different today, I felt positive, awakened, happy and floating! I even felt better with my therapist.
Now nothing spectacular has happened today, I haven't won loads of money, I haven't fallen in love (that would be like hell freezing over), nothing wonderful has happened.
But because it's April I feel soooooooo much brighter, so much happier!
I am so glad that January, February and March have gone, I hate the first three months of the year mainly because of SAD.
Now there is a pattern to the months of the year, does anyone else or can anyone else pinpoint what months are good for them each year and what months are just horrible?
JANUARY - HORRID
FEBRUARY - HORRID
MARCH - HORRID
APRIL - WONDERFUL
MAY - WONDERFUL
JUNE - HORRID
JULY - OK
AUGUST - WONDERFUL
SEPTEMBER - OK
OCTOBER - GOOD
NOVEMBER - WONDERFUL
DECEMBER - WONDERFUL
It seems to work that way each year for me, of course things do happen that may change my moods during the month but generally that is how things pan out for me.

Well Sweetheart I do not like March and April because those are the Months that it is my Babies Birthdays and they have grown from little Darling into big Darlings I would love to have them back to the little Age where I was able to take Pain away from them and protect them all the time so I dread it every year
My Girl is now 21 and my Boy will be 24 this Month, it seems like yesterday that they entered my Life and made me the happiest Person alive
Love and Hugs xxxxx

Hi hun, like you I am beginning to feel a lot happier now that the days are brighter. I don't like the winter months, somehow the dark days drag me down and I feel very much more depressed and low when I don't get the daylight. It's normally January, February and March that are my worst months, I feel lethargic and apathetic, definitely all the signs of SAD.
Thank goodness it's April now, with the flowers begining to bloom and the days getting longer and warmer. :-)

Im with you I love April and May and yes my mood is light and happy. Its like a new beginning. I think that January February and March are Horrid for me. And November is the most horrid because my mom passed in November and it was also her birthday that month. She left this earth way too young only 58. But anyway Im glad its April and we feel so happy. xxxx Go plant some flowers!

I find that I have more energy and more inclination to do things from April to September. The winter months are just dark and depressing.

Also the same situation for me. I'm always in bad state during winter.

I like the summer better when it is not too hot I am happier as long as the fleas do not bite me because then I am miserable, but I do not think I will have fleas this year because I only have one cat left and he doesn't have fleas.

Usually January to March are the worst for me because of winter and realizing it its a long way off from the warmer months, also nothing to look forward to during those months. And if I have realized I put on weight during the warmer months my depression gets worse LOL but hopefully this time it will be different because I am looking better and should be in fairly good shape for the summer! I am trying to make it happen.

I don't feel that there is any particular month that I feel down as I am usually quite a cheerful person but must admit the dark months of winter do take their toll and I crave for some sunshine to perk me up a bit. April is a month that I have always enjoyed as it is my birthday month and the clocks having gone forward I seem to have more time in the day to get things done. I love the summer months as I live near the beach and I spend most of my time there and Autumn too as there are so many beautiful colours of leaves and I enjoy the wooded walks and Bonfire night too. If I had to choose one horrid month it would be January because of the anticlimax of nothing happening or to look forward to after Christmas and New Year. Ellie :D

I thought I was the only person noticed the pattern of the months of the year.
but when I finally read your discussion, I know I am not alone. :P
I would say that December until January are horrible for my moods. September is the best month for me. but when it reaches October again, my moods turn worse month by month and the worst are December and January. the rests are so-so. :P

Oh yes wolfie I think that those of us who live or have lived in the northern/southern hemisphere where the seasons really do change dramatically have a certain feeling towards the months. I hated January and February too, they were always the boring, cold, dark days - they seemed to be a let down after the buz of Christmas and New Year. I hated being SO cold and the short days. For me too April was the beginning of longer days, the flowers budding, leaves blossoming on the trees etc., etc., In other words Spring!! The word itself makes you want to hop and jump...
I love the summer months, so warm (well not always in the UK!) and the nights so long.
I miss the changing seasons here in the Dom Rep - there is a change but not much. And there isn't such a wonderful explosion of colour and new life at spring time - now we have summer all year round.
I used to love October (not only because it is my birth month) but I also used to love the crisp evenings, before the real cold came along. And Guy Fawkes night - I love bonfires and hot potatoes...

To be honest I have never noticed if I am happier with one month or the next.I can say though the fall months I am happier and have more life running through me.I love fall because thats when I just wake up.So I guess the fall months give me the most pleasure in life.I do love the month of Decamber though because of christmas.I have 2 small children and they are excited all month waiting on santa clause and we do a lot of holiday stuff together. So December is very fun.
