How many bottles of perfume should a woman own?

I am asking because I own 2. I also have about 5 samples (little bottles) of perfume. My daughter has too many to count (I think she said like 40)! When we go shopping she looks at more, looking for something different that her boyfriend has never smelled before Nothing wrong with looking for more. I smell the perfumes too! I have 1 scent I love to wear it is called Design. I can make the bottle last a long time, because I don't wear perfume during the summer. I am wondering how many bottles of perfume should a woman own? Have a great day!

I have a whole bunch of bottles of perfume but that is just because I am joined with some survey sites and they sent me them to test and keep over the years. I wear them all. I change the fragrance up every so often if I get tired of one of the smells. I can make a bottle last me a long time too. I should never run out.

most of them are perfume oils, so more concentrated, and in small bottles. I keep them in essential oil boxes, with the dividers for the bottles. they come in essential oil style bottles, and the sample sized bottles, which last months, in tiny glass vials, which I keep in boxes with very small dividers. these boxes tend to be known as imp houses. most are from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. their perfume oils are stunning.

Hi icyorchid, I have about 25 large sized bottle of perfumes/ eau de toilettes mostly from renowned perfume houses like Dior/ Guerlain/ Lancome. I also have about 15 vintage perfumes all of them containing the original juice though I don't wear these. I also have and ever growing number of sample vials 50+ at the moment to test and write reviews on. I also own about a 100 essential oils that I use for aromatherapy, in massage oils and home-made cosmetics and about 20 fragrance oils I make my own perfume blends with. Maybe the 'should' in your question was meant to bbe 'How many bottles do you own?' I don't think there is a rule to this or upper limit, it depends on your lifestyle and preferences. Perfume isn't just a very important accesory but also an aspect of our personality so one that should be carefully chosen and treasured. Thanks, lillybee

I have about ten - I think. You shouldn't really have too many because the perfume starts to deteriorate as soon as the bottle is opened so the more you have the less you use each one and the more chance there is of them degrading before you finish the bottle. I try not to buy a new one until an other one is finished At the moment I have two I use all the time - Jil Sander Sun and Euphoria by Calvin Klein.

I don't wear perfume at all. I'm sensitive to flavors or smells. Perfume is too strong for me. It makes me get headache. I think the slight flavor of soap or shampoo is enough. That's natural.

i wouldnt know personally but i can make an example of my mom , like she has soooo many bottles it doesnt make any sense at all , im talking about at least 50 by looking at all the bottles on the dresser ...maybe a good number would be about 10 ..

None! They're full of chemicals. I used to use cologne every day but stopped several years ago and that, along with getting rid of chemicals in cleaning/personal care products, has made a tremendous difference in my health. I've always had a very strong sense of smell, but now when someone is wearing the slightest bit of perfume, I can smell them a mile away!

I would think 2-3 would be plenty. I have about 5. But I have my favorite, which is white diamond. I also enjoy Hawiian Ginger body spray.

Hi Icyorchid! Wow Your daughter has alot, but she should stay with a signature one so that way her boyfriend will always know its her and later on when or if they are no longer together, He will smell that smell and think of her..Good or bad depends on how they stay together or end. I used to have alot of perfumes depending on my moods or where i was but always went back to using one..Youth Dew...after awhile the perfumes get bad so don't fret if they smell different. Its just them losing their potency. Now i use essential oils and dab on pulse points..much cheaper and lasts longer.

When I use to sell Avon a LOOONNNNGGG time ago, I use to have my entire dresser covered with perfume. LOL Now I keep 2 or 3. Chanel #5 for special occassions and Bath and Body works for every day. I'm like you I don't wear perfume in the summer. We usually spend the day at the pool so I can't see putting it on then.

I have about 2 bottles of everything. So more than 400 different types of perfume or body sprays. I love smelling good and I don't like wearing the same one day in and day out. I always change my smell but have always got good compliments on them.
