well, i think that a non veg diet would be a better diet as such people also have the benefit of a veg diet. so as fat as veg food is concerned, it is also proved to be healthy and nutritious diet, but has very few items which can provide us with proteins in them, so i decide saying that non veg food is much better that veg food.

While there are many ways to get protein from besides meat,I LOVE my meat. But what is now a veg diet? There are vegans who say fish, poultry eggs and anything made from an animal is NOT veg.Others will say what with all the pesticides and cross-breeding of plants,THESE foods are dangerous as they are not organic. And organic??here does the water come from?If it is rain, then you have acid rain.If it is lake, need I go further?.So is all the water used for growing clean??
My thoughts would be to find a balance that you can live with and enjoy.

If labelled,I would be a non-vegan.I enjoy eating meat.I do not have a background in any particular field (just basic college biology, chemistry and kinesiology and a fondness for the outdoors),so I am just talking from my view. There will plenty of people who disagree with my views, but that is the great thing about MyLot;the chance to share thoughts and ideas.
Always keep an open mind.

I think a vegetarian diet is very healthy but I do not see how people actually live healthy without eating any kind of meat. I would love to eat more vegetables than I do meat though because meat really packs the pounds on me. Vegetables would be less calories if I could start eating less meat.

Sorry, I have studied this to some extent and I simply have to disagree with you.
Plant foods have plenty of protein in them. If a vegetarian eats a diet that consists of processed foods, breads, etc...then, no, they are not getting enough protein, but if one is eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, then one is getting enough protein. Animal products are unhealthy overall. (I DO eat animal products but 80-90% of my diet is plant foods.)
The main mineral or vitamin true vegetarians are in danger of not getting enough of is the vitamin b12, and that can be obtained through supplements or fortified soymilk.
Good discussion topic- thanks! :)
