In our country, many parents want their children become child prodigy. So the children had to study so many knowledge when they were very young. They almost have no time to play with other children. And recently,a fourteen-year old girl suicide ,she went to the elementary school at two years old.How outstanding girl she is!What do you think about it?

I think that is very sad, for a child to think they have to accomplish so much at such a young age when they are just learning what the world and life is. I want my children to be independant and individual. I have twins so I have always taught them to be who they are, just because they look the same doesnt mean they have to be the same, and they are in some ways but they are way different in other ways. I think going to elementary school at 2 is just crazy but that is only my opinion.

It is horrible that parents push their children to such extremes of achievement that this could happen to a two year old. Parents should let their child go in the direction that THEY choose. Parents are there for support and guidance not to be another task master. Also most child prodigies are born not made. People can only go as far as they want to any way.

That is the truth, a parent cant make a kids have talent, they either have it or they dont, they can work on the talent to make it better but the child would have to want to do that or their heart wouldnt be in it and it wouldnt happen.

Yea, its like if you think your child is gifted the emotional intelligence does not even matter any more and maybe they are gifted but not after all the precious creativity has been beaten out of them

i think its also there in my country. it has given rise to unnecessary competition. the parents won't understand it actually ruins the children. if they have talents, it will come forward automatically.

In California where I live 1 out of 2 children about 40 to 50 percent don't graduate from high school. So you can see how different the culture is. It is difficult for children to try and live up to their parents expectations!
