America went to Iraq based on reasons that were later found to be erroneous, the WMDs. The only justifiable reason America went there is to remove Saddam. However, they only set that goal into plan much later in their occupation.
Of course, that seems all fine and dandy but one must take into consideration some very serious implications. What gives America the right to unilaterally invade another country? Why invade Iraq when there are much more serious threats (North Korea, Sudan, Iran, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, etc..)?
Now they want to set a democracy in a country that will never be able to agree with each other. If you look back at history, Iraq is just encompassed of natural enemies. The only way for America to keep a democracy in Iraq is to own the country; to stay there for hundreds of years to come. Once again, seems easy, doesn't it? In a perfect world, that'd be easy as pie. Nonetheless, one should take into consideration that it'll drain America militarily, economically and politically.

The Amricans and the British invaded Iraq for 1 reason and one reason only.
money money money money
Saddam was threatening to set fire to the oil supply and as a lot of the oil came/comes from that area then he had to be stopped

I dont believe in war at all but sometimes it is a necessity eg WW2
sorry im not much help im sure others will be able to help you out tho and give you their views on the wars etc

I always wondered why America likes to meddle in other Countrys dealings, My fiance says that we need to get rid of the dictators of the world or we will get over ran by dictators, a threat to any part of the world is a threat to us I'M GUESSING here this is my opionion. I dont really agree with it but when i think in that veiw it makes more since to me. I think we are wasting time, money, peoples lives, for a lost cause, and i do think that OIL has a lot to do with it. But i do agree that we have no need for dictators in this world. Then again we sure are taking our time being friendly with the dictators. First we help one side, then the other side, get attacked by both sides. What are we doing, its like we are a sore thumb in the middle of a war. I would rather the war be there instead of here, and people that join the army join it to be in wars if there are wars, so they chose to be there and they chose to have that chance to die. We arent getting nowhere though and we need to finish what we started real soon.

I would recomend that you have a look on an internet search engine for the wars that America have been involved in and get the real facts, not people opinon on why things happen as some times their judgement is clouded.
