Do you get sick of Jehovah's Witnesses coming to your door?

I do, they come to my door and tell me what the Bible and Jesus is. I know what it is and I do not need to be told by a cult what it is. My cousin became one of those people and she did not show up to her mom's funeral. We wanted to ring her neck for that. That is your mom. Whether you love her or not, she is your mom. She said that her religion would not allow her to come. What religion tells you not to come to your mother's funeral?

lol its irritating to most people .But i view it as being funny.Jws try and ask people to join them so that they are saved attain salvation etc.ITs almost as if their religion was on a Draft :) A religious draft or prolly "the god" asked them to camapign for him and get votes if they wanted a share of the spoils after the elections:))

I don't like it when they come to my door, but to tell the truth it hasn't happened in a long time. I suspect sometims that my husband scares them away.

We now have signs posted at the front of our development stating "No Soliciting". Yet we still get solicitors (including Jehovah Witnesses) at our door daily. I just tell all of them to go back and read the sign posted at the front of our development and that I'll call the police if I get them at my door again. I knew a minister years ago that would invite them in, listen to them, take their information, then tell them they had to listen to him and take his information also. I just don't have the patience to do that.

I tried the no soliciting sign, but the mormons would tell me that they aren't soliciting. Since soliciting is intent to sell you something, they said they didn't sell but offered information for free so the sign didn't apply to them. I added an extra sign that said "ABSOLUTLY NO Mormons and NO Jehovas Witness." That kept them away too. (When I realized the swearing them didn't work forever.)

You can use the "No Soliciting" signs all you want to, but they are useless if no one reads them.

Yes, they are relentless!! I had them coming to my house for 3 months straight every singe Saturday! These people would not take "NO THANK YOU!" for an answer! I mean seriously, leave me alone when I have told you 20 times I am not interested. I was nice the 1st 19 times then the last time I blew up and told them that I will call the cops on them for trespassing. They still came back, different people of course, but I threatened them again and told them the next time anyone comes to my door they are going to get a bad "surprise" and they better go back and spread the word or I will not be responsible for my actions. They actually said that was not a Christian-like behavior, so I said "come back here again and I'll show you some REAL non christian-like behavior!!" Problem solved :) I hated getting so mad but they pushed me!!

You can ring the Kingdom Hall and put in a complaint and get them to list your house on the do not call map. Also mention that you have two disfellowshipped friends staying with you and they are telling you all about the Witnesses. You will never hear from them again. Disfellowshipped is the key word :)

The cross - That God gave his only begotten son who died for are sins on the cross. God Bless
That is a good question. All you can do is pray for your cousin. Ask for God to reveal to her the truth. I pray that she come to know the truth and get away from the cult. May the Lord Bless and Keep You. God Bless

Acutally I don't have to worry about that..since I live in an apartment that don't allow people to come door to door..so I don't have to worry about it. But if I would have to deal with it..I would get tried of really fast.

We started to tell them that we're atheists. My neice said that one actually put his foot in the door when she went to close it (she was only 15 or so) and her dad says that they are told to do that. The first one that puts his foot in my door will have his "watchtower" shoved down his throat and then 911 dialed for tresspassing.

I never had that problem with them coming to my door. But 2 years ago on Halloween, they had this big haunted house set up and they were charging $10 to get in. Everyone in town went to it. When u get to the end of the house. There were a group of Jehovah's Witnesses preaching to us about the Bible and how if we dont follow the word of Jesus then we are going to hell. Everyone thought that it was going to be a regular haunted house. I have no problem with people and their beliefs, but I felt like they kind of set us up, and I dont feel that people should tell u whether or not if u are going to hell or heaven, and try to force people to convert to their religion. People should be able to believe in what they want to. No one knows where u are going after u die

I bet they were not telling you to follow the word of Jesus as they do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. They believe he was the archangel Michael. They would have been telling you to follow the word of Jehovah (God) You would think God would disapprove of liars (the JWs who set up the haunted house) wouldnt you?

Yes I do get upset when they come knocking on my door. It is very hard for me to be mean or rude to people so I just smile and tell them that I already have a church that I belong to, thanks for coming by, have a good day and I close the door. Wish I could just be more forward tell them to stop coming to my house!! My Grandpa got so sick of them coming to his house that he finally put up a small wooden sign by his front door that says "No Church Groups" and since he did that not one sinlge one has come to his house. He's a big, scary man tho!!! LMAO Brandi

Always remember to leave them with the "I will pray for your Salvation" Its guaranteed to make them think! Jehovahs Witnesses do not believe that God listens to the prayers of non JWs. Isnt that just so arrogant!

I think they are extremists in a religous sense and they are also veyr annoying!! I think when people push their religion on you it makes you more determined to dislike that religion. I have found that anyway. I don't really believe in any religions and I think they should stop trying to push religion onto other people.

Yes, I got that a lot from some of the girls at my middle school and high school who were Jehovah's Witnesses. Whenever someone sneezed and I said "Bless You", they looked and me and said, "Only God can say that." Huh? Thanks for the comment.
