Negative rating...

I just mentioned to my husband that my points here on Mylot were about to go down because of a comment I just posted. He asked me why? I said because, the people who disagree with the view I just posted will slam me, and give me a negative rating. I told him that the last time I posted a comment on the same subject I just now posted on, I went from 97/100, to 90/100, and I have never made it back up from there, even though I have posted a lot of helpful comments that helped people find something they were looking for, or something like that. I was talking with another Myloter the other night, and she lost 2 points while we were commenting on each others post, and I was giving her posative ratings on each post and comment! Okay, I am getting off trach here, my point in this post is what I told my husband about how I rate someone else. I only rate posative. The only time I give a negative rating, is if the person were to be hostle, vulgar, or ofessive. I do not give a negative just because they said something I didn't like, or disagreed with. I think that is totaly unfair, and can give a good person a bad name! I was taught when I was young, if you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all. I use that phylosaphy every time I read an article, and I try to be kind and helpful in what I say, and if I do not like what the other person said, then I just do not rate at all!
