In university the professor did a group hypnosis I was able to be put under just so far and it would work any further.
Many years before my friend and I went to see the great reveen and she get me to volunteer and I actually went up on the stage, but again they did some preliminary tests and I could only go so far and no further so they made me get off the stage.
Hypnosis can work with some health issues as well. I took a course on hypnosis in university.
Have you ever been hypnotized? what was your experiences?
Would you ever want to be hypnotized for medical reasons or just to see what is is like?

I usually hypnotise myself. Yes it can be done with some practice, my friend taugh me that. he was an hypnotician. I ever try to hypnotize other people but not all work. People who easy to hypnotize is people who easy to believe with someone else. Actually I hypnotized people just for fun.
My tips if you can't prevent to being hypnotized is never get easy believe to people and never you look down to their eyes when someone hynotize you

|I studied under one of the world's leading forensic hynotists, some people are highly suggestable and some not at all, they have a scale that they measure you by before they try.

No, I hope.
I would never willingly let myself be hypnotized.
That is a total loss of control of your body AND mind and absolute invasion of privacy.
You just can't trust what that guy will do to your body and what messages he might impose in your mind!

actually I took courses in university with one of the world's greatest forensic hypnotist and that is a common myth,
first of all not everyone is hypnotizable
then being that he testifies for the courts all the time, all over the world,
no you cannot be hypnotized to do something you would not do in real life, that is important to you,
like killing somebody, if you wouldn't do it in real life you can't be hypnotized to do it either
clucking like a chicken or barking like a dog is just stupid stuff, your mind does care about that but anything that is really a principal to you your mind will never allow that to happen under hypnotise

Yes, I am aware that not everyone can be hypnotized. Or rather, let's put it this way - that some people have ultra high resistance. I do not believe that anyone's resistance is INFINITE. Ultra high yes, so chances are low that you can hypnotize him.
As for "you cannot be hypnotized to do something you would not do in real life", I am afraid I do not believe in this. There is no way to prove or disprove this conclusively. The most I would grant is that it is HARDER to hypnotize someone to do something he has a natural aversion to - this simply adds on to the resistance he is already having.
And there are tricks around the above. It is perfectly possible to do something first so that his aversion is gone. I wouldn't go into that, nor have I tried it but I do this it is possible. As in anything, creativity is key. No way am I gonna give some bad guy the wrong ideas by saying them here.
I once considered going into this line but I didn't in the end. Too much work, too much years of your life you need to dedicate, too little acceptance, too few opportunities and most importantly, my interest is not strong enough to offset the reasons I mentioned.

Actually mother and grandma whent to a seminar to get hynotized to lose weight. And they bought the extra stuff because they were told it would wear off eventually and they needed the tapes to continue with their weight loss. They paid a $100 for the seminar weight loss and the tapes, books and everything. It worked for my mom but not really for my granny. I listened to the tape read the books it did help me some I lost 30 pounds on it but it does wear off. I would like to get hypnotised to help me lose weight. You can get it to make you actually hate your favorite weight triggering foods. I wish my husband would do it to stop smoking..That reminds me I need to ask my mom if she still has that tape my come in handy some.

well, my boyfriend's mom had been hypnotized by a gang.
here's my story..
his mom was actually almost near to their house (she came from her work actually..),then there's this old woman she saw fell from the ground..so she decided to help her,and the old woman told her that she haven't eat for the whole day, and that she's very hungry. so she decided to brought her into the nearest fast food.so there she ordered food for the old woman and for herself. there they talk for so long..
then the next day came, before going to work, my boyfriend noticed that her mom was carrying a big bag. but don't know what's into it. then after a few hours, her mom went back to their house crying, telling them that they have been victimized by a hypnotized gang and that she lost a Php 300,000.00 on their account.
he asked his mom on what had happened,..
you know what happened?(this is what she remembered..)
lets go back to the story..(where the old lady and his mom were talking)..
after she drunk on her drinks, that's the time that she felt dizzy. then she remembered that she saw the old lady calling the other 2 guys. then telling her to withdraw money from her atm. but her mom have not bring her atm card. so the old lady told to his mom to go back to her work and get a cheque with her signature for them to deposit to a bank amounting to 300,000.00,because she she was hypnotized, she said yes,and she was being accompanied by those people going back to her work.
then, her secretary wondered on why her boss go back to her work were in fact, she already leave and decided to go home. then she asked her secretary to get a cheque for her. without asking, her secretary gave her a cheque and my boyfriend's mom wrote in there the amount and sign it then leave. the secretary didn't saw the people who accompanied to her boss because she was inside the office.
then the next day, her boss gave her the big bag (which has the money that she thought she withdrew yesterday) and told her to deposit those money to their bank.. with her surprise, what's inside the bag were lots of papers. then there they cried and remembered what happened yesterday.
that was 4 years ago..and until now, the case hasn't been solved..
we just prayed that this won't happen again..
then after that happened, my boyfriend never left her mom and decided to work to their company. and they will never care anymore whether you fall on the ground or asking for their help because they will just ignore you.
that's a lesson to learn..
and what's hard to accept was they've been kind, and yet they had been fooled.

that is true, I think I mentioned that in the article, but you did not answer the question, have you ever been hypnotised
and would you ever try it.

I have never been hypnotized. My husband pulled a prank on me when we first met and he told me he could hypnotize people. I never fell for it because he is such a jokester. I watched him do it on a friend though and it was funny.
I wouldn't mind being hypnotized if it would be beneficial to me. Health issues could be one reason also.

I learned a form of hypnosis from the book, "The Complete Idiots Guide To Psychology." Anyone can do it anytime. What you do is get a picture of anything, say a room in your house. Close your eyes and totally focus on the things in that room only. You will be momentarily hypnotized and you will feel it.

I have never been hypmotized for fun or medical reasons. I would be scared of what I would do if I was hypmotized. My husband and I went and watched a hypmotist one night it was a great show and people will do some stupid things under hypnosis.
