the voice of Rosanne and Fran Dresher the Nanny just drive me up the wall. I also have a friend that talks so slow I sometimes want to say to him get it out already, well I did in the beginning but now I am used to it. Do you have another on your life on in the media with a voice or pattern of speech that annoys you?

One person came to mind as I read this. Fabio! The man is very good looking but his voice just grates on my nerves. I can't stand it. Leave him as a model but don't have him speak. There is one other though that irritates me Kyra Sedgwick on "The Closer". Her fake southern accent just makes me want to turn off the show. I did notice this year she's not doing it as thick as she was in the first season, thank goodness.

Roseanne does not bother me, but Fran Dresher's voice can bend steel. There is another actor whose voice irritates me. I am trying to think of his name. He played the guy at the agency in the movie, "Problem Child." Then there is the guy who whines and almost sounds like he is crying when he talks. There is a girl in my building that sounds like Minnie Mouse, like a kid. Some say it is not her real voice, but she puts it on for the guys. It is very irritating. Then I have this friend who stutters a little. That is not what bugs me. What bugs me about her, is when I know what she is trying to say and I try to help her, she will ignore it and continue to struggle. It seems like she is trying to come up with a big word to impress me and it never works.

i don't like to listen to talk who speaks too slowly , just as i'll be annoyed because a person who moves his feet so slowly. no matter it's hurry or not. i'm a person who wishes to walk, speak and finish my job as quickly as i can , so i hope the person i'm working with own the same traits, if he or she can't do this, then i won't choose he or she as my partner

My old boss had a voice like a muppet. He also had a lisp. I don't think you can do much worse than that. Oh, his personality was "I am God" so that might have had something to do with my dislike of his voice.

Gosh yes, Fran Dresher drives me nuts... but at the same time is funny. Australian Celebrities Jeannie Little and Dame Edna Everidge (Barry Humphries) are all voices that set my teeth on edge. Another thing I've always had trouble coping with the sound of is 'giggly' girls (you know, that high pitched giggle that sounds so fake and grates on your ears). Poetic justice when you consider that my oldest daughter is a giggler LOL. Personally I have one of those huge guffaws when I laugh.

You have about covered it and I will add another two woman and one man to the list and their names are Phyllis Diller,Zsa Zsa(pardon the spelling) And Jerry Lewis(loved his shows but his voice was only okay when he talked normal instead of in charactor. It is just something about their voices that irritates me.

I can see why people who are nasal would annoy you. Roseanne really gets to me. I have an annoyance also for the voices of Rosie O'Donnell, Bill Clinton, and this guy on my radio station who sounds like he has a constant cold.

Oh my gosh. Yes. Fran Dresher gets on my nerves too. she talks through her nose or something and she talk like that to be so sophisticated. I can't stand it when someone talks slow either or drags out a conversation that could be made very short. I don't have time to sit and listen to it. I want them to get it out already also. I can't really think of anyone else right now but I will tell you about my husbands hunting videos he gets and the people in it. My husband has hunting videos for deer hunting. The guys in there ramble on and on about how to get the deer, ramble while they are hunting and when they got the deer, they go on and on about the same old thing. That gets on my nerves so bad. I get tired of hearing someone say the same thing and he will sit and watch every bit of it instead of fast forwarding it to the next hunt. They mostly say, "Holy Cow" about 50 times after getting their deer. That really gets on my last nerve.

Oh yes!! There is this girl that is dating a friend of ours and her voice just drives me nuts. The last time we were all out was the first time I had a chance to meet her and I caught myself staring at her because not only does her voice sound like finger nails on a chalk board but she is so loud. Another friend leaned over to me and said drives you nuts doesn't it. I shook my head yes. Then she said how he brought her to the hospital when this friend was in and he left her there. She went on to tell me she was hooked up to IVs and unable to move and so had to lay in bed and listen to that voice. I got to laughing so hard it was awful really. The more I laughed the more she told me horror story. It really is bad to laugh at someone and I really don't make a habit out of it but this voice was so bad!!!!!

Gilbert godfried, Miley Cyrus (Hanna Montana), and the guy that is so monatone that does the dry eye commercials. Those three irritate me to no end. Miley Cyrus not so much her voice but the stupid dialect and expressions or something about the way she says things.

Natalie, Amanda, Sharon and Sheila on Big Brother 9 all drove me crazy with their voices. Really, Sheila's voice isn't the annoying part. It is the way she talks. Both her accent and the way she repeats the same key phrases over and over again drives me crazy! No one in my life has a voice or speech pattern that bothers me. Perhaps Emily Proctor on CSI: Miami...I don't really know what it is but, the sound of her annoys me. Rosey O'Donnell and Dr. Phil! Ugh! Dr. Phil is just one of those guys that should never speak. Not only is he full of crap but, everything about his voice and him annoys the fedge out of me. Natalia Livingston from General Hospital (she plays Emily) bugs me. She always sounds like she just got done running a marathon. And, that freaking huffy little laugh she does between each sentence bugs the crap out of me. Also on GH, what's her butt that plays Bobby. That little baby voice! Ugh! Also, Felicia Jones (GH)...again with the baby voice. Sheesh! I sound like a bitter betty! I am really not! LOL! I swear! There are just some people who rub me the wrong way with their vocal cords! LOL! But, I have a slight Midwestern accent having been born and raised in Ohio until I was 25 and I am sure that I annoy people with some words that I say that sound totally Midwestern. LOL!

The only voice that really annoys me is Rachel Ray's voice. Don't get me wrong I love watching her cooking shows it's just that her voice is really grating on my nerves. Ususally that tyoe of thing doesn't bother me at all, but for some reason her's does. It doesn't bother me enough though that I don't watch her cooking shows because she always has a lot of really good recipes.

I do not know why but I do get worked up when I heard the voices of few people. Some of these people I personally have "written off" for one reason or another, but there are some innocent ones whom I have no issues with. Perhaps I am rather impatient and the way this guy speaks really irritates me. Besides speaking slowly, he either stammers or cannot pronounce clearly.

In the media? I can't think of anyone who's voice annoys me a lot. In real life? Yes. Half of New Jersey and New York. Loud and obnoxious. I yearn for the accent of the South living up here. The funny thing is, when I first moved there from Michigan/Ohio; I had to get used to that accent too. Now I love it. I think because when I hear a southern accent I am reminded of what I consider home. Woman with squeaky little girl voices get on my nerves too. Probably because my husband's ex-wife has one and we don't have a great history. I try to concentrate on what I like rather than what I don't. For the most part; people can't help what they sound like. I just seems like everyone is so loud here on the East Coast. Maybe it's just me.

Kind of! I think it shocks me more than annoys me if I'm not expecting that voice to come out of someone. For instance, I met this really cute girl once and then she talked and she had the highest pitched voice I've ever heard. She sounded like a little girl and it kind of disturbed me. But I got used to it and now we are friends!

Absolutely. There's one girl I know who always seems to be talking through her nose because her voice is so whiny, high-pitched and annoying. And I've got a few friends who speak so slowly that I end up finishing their sentences for them because I've had the time to work out what they're going to say.
