What is your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is New Year. It's a very important festival in Chinese cultrue. In fact, it's the holiday of the year. Everyone returns home for a family reunion. We have a big feast and chat about all the things that have happened in our lives. People also visit each other. We exchange gifts and good wishes for the next year.
New Year is especially fun for kids. That's because we get presents and treats, including red envelops filled with money. We also get to set off fireworks. But we never forget that this holiday is a time to give thanks. We feel grateful for our family and the things that we have. Finally, we think about the future and the great year ahead.
So I like the New Year best. And you? Which is your favorite holiday?

Samhain is my favorite religious holiday. It's celebrated secularly as "Halloween" with candy and costumes and all that... but the Pagan religious holiday on that day is a time for remembering our loved ones who have passed on, honoring ancestors, and sometimes divination as well.
I love Samhain partially because it was my great-grandmother's favorite holiday, and I have fond memories of celebrating it with her. However, I also love it because many of those I love have passed over, and it means a lot to me to take this time out for them.

Mine is Christmas. For us Christians, the most important is Christmas because it is the birthday of Jesus. During Christmas, all people are happy and generous. People visit each other and there's so much loving and giving around. In the Philippines, Christmas is the longest Holiday. It starts at Misa de Gallo or Early Morning Mass, December 16 and ends in Three Kings, January 6. I know most children like Christmas but the child in me always come out whenever it is Christmas.

I think it would be Christmas for me...coz during this time you really can feel the different happiness...I think during Christmas all people become kind, loving and it's also the best time for the family to be together!..
and besides for the Christians like me..Christmas day is such a remarkable time because we believe that Christmas is Jesus Christ's birth day...
Christmas bring so many happy memories to me...

Mine is Christmas, too. I love the decorations which I really overdo on. I put up 7 full size trees and about 20 4 foot and under. I do them as theme trees by color or type of ornament, gingerbread, santa, snowman, etc. The only things I don't decorate are my cats. I have started switching to the LED lights to keep my electric costs down.
I also love the songs. Most of them are happy up beat songs (except for a few newer ones) which only improves your mood.

My favorite Holiday is Christmas. We usually visit our relatives in our province and have our family reunion there. We also go to mass together as a family and have our "noche buena" when 12am strikes, gift giving is the best for kids as well. Old relatives come by and share their journey's.

My favorite holiday is in Moslem holiday that we call it Lebaran. At that time we go to our parents or the oldest relatives to ask for forgiving each other then we have some special meals which only serve in that day, those are ketupat (kind of solid rice packed in square form, opor (chicken in coconut milk soup), rendang (spicy dry beef cooked with coconut milk), and there are some other traditional meals & snack. Sometime we can meet our relatives who is never meet before or hardly meet each other because of our daily activity or work. That moment is very fun & holy

My favorite holiday is Chrimstmas. I love being around the family and seeing how happy everyone is. I am always amazed at how a holiday can do so much to so many people. If you do not celebrate sorry. I love being around the happy children and seeing how happy my children are.
