More people in the world want a higher standard of living and are driving cars. Cars use oil. The more cars on the road, the more oil is demanded, the more the oil is going to cost. We are also at what is known as Hubbert's peak, or Peak Oil. The Earth's supply of easy to get at oil is declining.

Well you do realize that there is a war going on, and i take it that u don't no what that war is about.
it's all about how high the price of oil can get. the longer the war the higher the price. and yes with high fuel prices the cost of every thing goes up. reason being is that to produce anything u need fuel to operate machinery. So the higher the oil prices go the more you will have to spend. But isn't it surprising that no matter how high the cost of living gets your pay check never increases.
