My daughter loves to blow bubbles. She always has since she was a kid. Now that she is working in a daycare, she has those kids loving bubbles too I received this recipe for homemade colored bubbles in another group I belong to and I thought some of your kids, grandkids would love it this summer. Enjoy! Colored Bubbles Ingredients: 1 cup granulated soap or soap powder 1 quart warm water liquid food coloring plastic straws small juice cans Directions: Dissolve soap in warm water, stir in food coloring. Give each child a can about 1/3 full of mix and a plastic straw to blow the bubbles.

This sounds like a good, cheap way to blow bubbles - as long as they don't drink the mixture with the straw!! Oh well, kids have survived worse things! It's good to see these sorts of things on the forums!

Thank you angel. I know I use to make bubbles all the time for my daughter when she was growing up. I bought one time to get the bottle, then she never knew she ran out. lol I always filled it that night

You know I have had home made bubbles since I was little and my kids are always playing outside with them in the good weather but I never thought of adding food colouring! Thanks for that I am sure the kids will enjoy their bubbles being even more colourful! xxx

Sounds great and would be so much cheaper than the ones you buy in the stores.. I bet it makes a huge batch and the kids could play all day.. This is what our kids need to be doing on hot summer days, have them go outside and play all day, then hose them off before bringing them inside.. They could skip the bath that day.. Great recips fo fun..

we had bought a bubble kit at the book fair last year and it had a recipe in it for bubbles with a bunch of different things to do with kids and bubbles. one of the things we did was put color in them and hung white papar all over the porch and just started blowing. it turned out really cool and the kids loved it.
