CSI Star William Petersen Signs On for Ninth Season...

William Petersen, (Grissom)the star of hit forensic drama 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation', has signed up for a ninth season. The 55-yr-old, already one of the highest paid TV actors, will reportedly receive $600,000 per episode.
In the eighth series of CSI, Liev Schreiber stood in for Petersen in order for
him to appear in a production of the Dublin Carol in Rhode Island.
Petersen is understood to have reached a deal where he only appears in episodes that allow him to fulfill commitments to the Christmas-themed play.
CBS, the producers of CSI, were anxious to secure their star for another series after losing original cast member Jorja Fox (Sarah) last autumn.

He is a very good actor and I love his character in CSI but $600,000 per episode? Are you kidding? In my opinion celebrities get paid way to much. Don't get me wrong it is there job and they are supposed to get paid but $600,000 per episode? What about these people out here who are working hard and changing the world, helping others? They don't get paid that much. There is something wrong with this world when people get paid that much to entertain us. Just my opinion.

wow! thats too big for just one episode. but he is good in performing his role. I just cant imagine CSI las vegas without grissom.. it would be very different..far different. And I dont think i would love watching CSI las vegas if they will replace the head of the team..

Nope it would not be the same.....hubby likes grissom, none of the other CSI shows compare to him. We watch them, but this one is the best!

hi icy think i'll call you that from now on! i love csi so far the eighth series is on over here UK so haven't seen sarah depart yet-but am glad there is a ninth season-littleowl

Ok, now see, this is what gets my a little irritated. The post just before this one in my inbox was about 80,000 people being laid off and the unemployment rate. And then this one- don't get me wrong I love CSI and Peterson aka Grissom is AWESOME...but for cryin' out loud...$600,000 PER EPISODE??!? Good Grief!

but he deserves it..
