I always find myself spending more money on my kids then I spend on my husband and I.My husband needs a pair of work shoes and won't buy a pair because he would rather get the kids a toy.I spend more money on their clothes than I spend on mine.Do you do the same thing,ALWAYS put the kids before you?I just think they need the things more often because they are young and are still growing pretty fast.Sometimes we need to do for ourselves.

I agree we do still need to do for ourselves, your husband needs work boots more than the kids need toys. Now if the kids had outgrown their shoes, I would say get the kids their shoes, but toys, no.
I am the same tho, my kids always come first, I havent bought myself new clothes in I dont know how long, but I did have a good couple of years when my daughter outgrew me so I got her hand-me-downs, wohooo I sure was glad I did get her good clothes, hehe. If I wore boys clothes I'd be set for quite a while, lol...oh well that is what parents do, it just shows your a good one.

My man and I just had this conversation this morning, he needs new boots, he is a cow hauler and get cow poop on his boots as we are getting ready for church he puts those on and sent him out to clean them up, when he came in I told him it is past time for a different pair of boots for work and social. He looked at one of the kids bookbags and said after the kids have all they need I will get a seperate pair of boots. I told him about this discussion, we both just said that is what good parents do. hehe :)
