I Really HATE Stepping On toys in the middle of the night

Ok most parents know that even if you pick up the toys there is always a stray that you end up stepping on. I had this happen a few months ago and Ill tell you what IT SUCKS! I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I didnt turn on any lights as my bathroom is only a few steps away. Well one of those steps landed me right on a lego. Not the little ones the big duplo kind. Yep well I screamed a little. I got to the bathroom and turned on the light to see the damage and I had 2 huge holes in my foot. Looked like a really big vampire bit me. LOL! The skin hadnt completly come off and it wasnt bleeding to bad but it was deep. I probably should have gone for stitches but it was 3 in the morning and I didnt want to get the kids out of bed to take them to the hospital. I put some ointment on it and wrapped it up. I had a very hard time walking for the next few days as it was on the top part of my foot right below my toes. OUCH!! I took care of it for 2 weeks and it healed up nicely thank god. If you look real hard you can see the circles from it. A couple days later I showed the kids what had happened and told them we have to make sure every toy is picked up from now on. That way this dosent happen again. Tell you what they understood and now all the toys are picked up every night..even the strays. LOL! Have you ever steped on a toy before?
