I remember my father always told me that is more pleasant to sleep than to eat. Why?
When I'm still in my college days I used to skip meals because I used to be a working student and when I got home I just wan to sleep rather to eat...
But my mother used to woke me up in just to eat my father told my mother that it is more pleasant to sleep than to eat. Because if she feels hungry she will go up and eat.
Whats your view on this....?

for me both is not productive so i would rather choose working but since its not one of the choices i would choose sleeping because it recharges your lost energy for the day and is much important than eating although both are important to us in order to live...

I enjoy both eating and sleeping. But I agree with your father, that it is more pleasant to sleep than eat. I could definitely get by on just one meal a day. I can't not get by very well without enough sleep.

I thinks it's important for the body to do both on a regular basis. I love to eat but I definitely need my sleep. I just think that we have to be balanced and get the rest and the food that our body needs in equal amounts.

I only get about four hours of sleep each day because I work alot of hours. I do love to eat but i wish I was not awake all of those hours to think about it. I need to lose a few pounds. I would love to get more than four hours of sleep also but there is just enough time in a day to enjoy that.

I love eating and sleeping. But given the choice, I would like to go for sleep, so that I could re-charge and rejuvenate myself. I enjoying sleeping, but whenever my spouse see that I am sleeping, she does not like it and would term me as lazy.....LOL!
How are you?
Have a nice day!

Hi lynboobsy! Although both sleeping and eating are essential in making our body healthy, I would really prefer sleeping than eating nowadays. Why? I agree with your father that it is more pleasant to sleep, to rest your tired body than to stuff your body with all the foods and after that it makes you so full and so tired. So, i think I would rather rest my body and mind first through sleep and forget all the problems. LOL! And your father is right that if one gets hungry while sleeping, surely one will wake up. LOL! Take care and have a nice day! :)

I feel it is pleasant to sleep, soon after eating. But my sleeping is gone after I became a Mylot member. I have to work overtime to initiate discussion, respond to it, see rating etc.

I don't like both. I used to like sleeping a lot during my school days. When I get home from school around noon, I eat and straight away go to sleep until dinner time. But ever since I got married, I don't have much sleep and I eat less. I like to do anything and I dread if it is already night time or dinner time. It means I need to feed myself and go to sleep. I know it is bad for my health but that is how my life now. Of course, sleep is better because you can recharge your energy, your body renewing it damage cells and you have less stress.

Of course, the human body needs both to be able to function properly, but I've always found sleeping is more enjoyable. Nothing beats the feeling you get when you've just woken up from a good night's sleep.
Then again, nothing beats the feeling you get when you sit down to a nice big meal with your family and friends.
It's difficult to pick one or the other.

can't it be both? hehe...but seriously, i'd rather sleep than eat, eventhough i'm pretty much skin and bones. like you, during my college days i'd skip meals just to catch some zzz's. be it in the house or in the university, i would always find a way to rest and hopefully snooze for a few minutes. i once slept in the library (the breeze from the A/C unit and the silence it presents is conducive to sleeping) :D
