What is your favourite chocolate?

I have a serious chocolate addiction, not always eating it, but often just buying chocolate makes me feel better. I love the smell, but yes, I also love the taste. I'm not fussy either, white, milk or dark chocolate, it all goes down the hatch. I'm trying to buy more dark chocolate as it contains more cocoa and less sugar. Also, it is more of a "chocolate hit", so I shouldn't need to eat as much. Does anyone else suffer from this problem?

I don't think I have a favorite chocolate I like them all and I don't really discriminate. And yeah there are times like you said when I buy chocolate and it just feels good to buy them there are times when I put them away and they last for a while.

Oh that is so hard to do. But I really like to buy Hershey's kisses the ones that have caramel inside. I really like caramel and paired with chocolate makes it even better. They are really tasty.

I have had those when I was in America last and they are yummy. I haven't seen them here in the UK though.
It is definitely a good combination, chocolate and caramel, bit on the sweet side for me sometimes, but occasionally I am just in the mood for a bit of caramel, and anything covered in chocolate will get my vote!

It is good to know that there is always some in the cupboard, just in case :)
So if you had to pick a bar of chocolate, just one, which would it be, and if it is local to your country, can you describe it for me?

Chocolate addiction! What a lovely problem to have. Indeed! Many can confess to such a secret obsession. Myself, included. I'm not ashamed to admit that I love the chocolate. I like milk chocolate. But, sometimes I like other kinds too.
I'm not picky either. Any chocolate for any occasion is fine with me. Thank you for the refreshingly honest take on my favorite subject! Nice to find someone else who shares my personal affinity for the dark mistress. Chocolate, that is. Chocolate is one of my passions! Thanks again.

Always a pleasure to hear from a fellow chocaholic!
I currently have my eyes on a Galaxy milk chocolate which is cooling in the fridge right now. The husband has already opening it and taken a chunk, think I will have to break off a square or ten so I make sure I get my share!
Thanks for your response :)

Possibly too much cocoa modstar, dark chocolate contains more cocoa than milk chocolate. Give it time, and you will get used to it.

Not far away, I'm from northern England!
As a woman I don't suppose it matters where we come from, I'm pretty sure that women eat more chocolate than men regardless of where they are from.
Interesting study though, are you a fan of chocolate? or is it just a job for you?

There is one Cadbury bar the Yorkie which is specifically aimed at men. It is big and chunky, and generally you need a big mouth to chew it! If you want to try Cadburys, then try a Yorkie.

Totally agree about kit kats, do you like the chunky ones? I like them because you really feel like you're getting a mouthful of something chocolatey.

That wierd aftertaste is probably cocoa. Generally chocolate is mixed with sugar and milk so the strong flavour of cocoa is disguised.
Good choice about chocolate with nuts. I like Snickers because it contains peanuts and caramel. But I am also a fan of any chocolate which contains hazelnuts or almonds, I think they are great combinations

Hi! This discussion is really making me wish we had some chocolate in the house and hadn't finished it all yesterday... I am a bit of a kit-kat addict and usually buy them in packs of 27 - but they still disappear in about 2 weeks. One of my favourite chocolate bars is Galaxy as it's so smooth tasting and I also liked Cadbury's Wispas which were really bubbly, and very popular in the UK several years ago until they suddenly stopped making them! They briefly brought them back due to popular demand a few months ago but sadly not in my area. I like most chocolate really, including really dark chocolate, although I can take or leave white chocolate (which isn't really proper chocolate anyway!)
