Fries some say its good for you and some say its bad. so who right and who wrong. To tell you the truth i really like McDonald's fries they really taste good, but if its real bad for me then that means that i would have to eat less. what do you think?

As a general rule anything that is fried is not good for you in excess. Fries are considered bad for you compared to chips (the fries equivalent in the UK) as they are thinner and therefore absorb more oil when fried. So, basically the fatter the potato the less oil it absorbs. A healthy alternative to fries would be potato wedges which you can easily do yourself at home, as you can leave the skin on and oven bake them with a little olive oil to make them crispy. And if you like it spicy you can add a little cayenne pepper or chilli powder. I love fries too but I've cut down on eating them on a regular basis and just have it as a treat instead.

Unfortunately, they're bad with all the grease and seasoning they have. Not to mention salt. Look at it this way, if you dip your fries in ketchup, you're getting two vegetables: potatoes and tomatoes. I guess that doesn't really count, but it's the optimistic way!

I believe they are bad for you. There's the grease they are fried in, and since they are potatoes you get alot of carbohydrates from them. Oh and don't forget the salt on them. In moderation it would be okay though. I personally like checkers fries better. But then again I love chili chesse fries from Krystals/White Castle(for you northerners)
