Hi mylot user!!! Which do you prefer? A cat or a dog? I have lots of pets and I have both cats and dogs. I love them both but if someone asked me that kind of question I just answer it with "Cats are cute but my dog is my bestfriend". How about you? Do you prefer to have cats or a dog? If someone ask you and you must choose only one, what will you pick?

I have both, we got the cats first though. Two of our cats are really independant - hardly likes any attention. One is a pain though, forever meowing and throwing up all over the place, grr. He's 12 though and a real character. Our dogs though are the best things in the world...most amazing characters and adorable in every way. Even when they do something they shouldn't you can't help but love them. I pick dogs just because they like a bit more attention and they really are part of the family

I prefer a dog than a cat.Because I think dogs are cleverer than cats. They are more friendly to people and can do many things for us.Sometimes they behave just like a humanbeing. And this is very interesting to me.What's more, some smaller kinds of dogs are very cute too and just as lovely as a little cat.

Dogs and cats are both OK but both my husband and I prefer cats, oer dogs. Cats seem to get along better with us than dogs do, and vice versa. We love our cats very much, and we know what to expect from them. It takes a ery special person to understand a cat. Dogs just seem to love anyone...

Cats, absolutely cats. I have had dogs in my life. The second one ran away, but never a cat. They know when they have it good. Cats are far less needy than dogs and can amuse themselves when you're not home. They adapt more easily if you need to move. The last time I moved, my cats were instantly at home because their humans were there. You don't have to worry about your cat attacking one of your neighbours or their kids. Cats live longer than dogs, my Blue lived to be 18! Dogs don't live that long, especially the big ones. I don't like small dogs, most of them are way too yappy. All the vicious dogs I've ever known were small dogs. I've never seen a vicious cat. I don't have to walk my cat unless I want to. 2 of mine will walk with a harness and leash. My cats are happy to see me when I come home and will come to say hello or be waiting for me on my bed to give them a scratch under the chin. Cats are also quieter than dogs and don't dark like idiots at everything they see. My cats let me know if they don't like someone because they just won't have anything to do with that person. If they like a person, they'll jump up in their lap. I LOVE cats!

I like both but as a pet of my own I would rather have a cat the reason is they are more independent and can take care of themselves more than a dog. I do not like having to get up in the middle of the night to let the dog outside to go to the bathroom and leaving a dog outside all the time in my opinion is cruel.

Cats cats cats I love cats they are fantastic, amusing, intelligent creatures I have had cats all my life. Since the age of 6 I have always had pet cats so my life wouldn't feel the same without the presence of a cat. Don't get me wrong I love all animals we had a pet dog when I was growing up and I adored him as well. But if I had to choose then the cat wins

i cant choose..i like both...they are both cute like babies, but easier than human babies. both my cats and my late dogs were my best friends. i think cats are easier to take care of, especially if they are indoor. all they need is their water, food, and clean litter box. and they are as loving as dogs. dogs need to be walked, but when i get a future dog, i am not planning on walking them any more...just let them out in the backyard to do their thing and come back in. dogs need to be bathed, too. plus, there is the issue of fleas. that is the only problem that i have had with my late dogs, is the flea problem. does anyone know of any natural flea medication that doesnt have chemicals for pets? i dont like putting chemicals on my late dogs. that is why my late dogs had fleas and i bathed them a lot instead. water tends to kill fleas. but there has to be a natural method of controlling the fleas for pets.

uhmmmm... natural fleas killer? Well you can bath dogs with coconut milk to kill the fleas... I'd tried it with my dogs....

i prefer dogs to cats.because dogs give us alot of love.it stays with us all the time. but in the case of cats they just come when they need food. when we return home from outside dogs show there happiness but at the same time cats wont care at all

I love them both, but had to choose a cat due to my house not being suitable for a dog (no fenced gaden for example). I love playing and walking my friends and family's dogs though :)

Yeah... Having cats is more comfortable with small houses, with houses that has no fences and apartments

Hi myanime, I like both, but at the moment I have two cats and I don't have a dog. I guess if I had to choose one it would be a cat. Blessings.

Like you I have both and for the last 50 years have rarely been without at least one of them. Please don't make me choose lol! If pushed to then at this present time I would say a dog. I still have the time and energy to give a dog the life it needs but as my health is declining perhaps long term a cat would be a better pet for me. I love large breeds and my favourite is the German Shepherd and I find it hard to imagine life without a faithful companion to protect and love me! At the moment I share my life with a beautiful Shepherd girl and 2 cats,(one an old man of 17, the other the cutest tabby girl), 2 tanks of fish and one of frogs!

I have had both dogs and cats. I perfer cats over dogs. Cats can clean themselves and can use a litter box if I have to be away for a long period of time.

I have both cats and dogs. But I prefer dog. You can become real close with your dog and he will obey you wholeheartedly. It different with the cat. He usually wants food only!!

I personally prefer cats. I've had them both since they were kittens and I love them very much. Over the years I have connected with both of them Meaning, the time and affection. As time goes by they tend to become kids. What does everyone else think?

Personally I guess I prefer dogs over cats. I mean, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with cats unless you get the occasional crazy one, but there's just something about the loyalty, love and happiness that dogs display that win me over. Either way I'm ending up with a cat since my fiancee wants us to have one.
