did you ever made a mistakes here on mylot. if yes, what was your mistakes and how often you do it?
although i am careful in my post but everyday i made mistakes on my spelling. i know this matter to some members but as far as i am concerned any post here that made a mistakes on spelling i don't rate them negative. i always rate positive to all post except sarcastic comment. i tried my best to understand any words that i felt it's really a wrong spelling without rating negative to the poster.
did you experience the same problem like me?
sometimes i forgot to review my post. this really my bad habit because this shows that i am over confident on it. this really really bad and i admit that.
i hope i will no longer make mistakes in posting.

i often make spelling mistake here when i make a post coz i pay little attention to it.as i think,it doesn't matter much.
another kind of mistake i have made is once i opend two mylot sites commenting on responses to my discussions at the same time. i mixed them up amd post one comment to another which was not matching.i never open more than one mylot site from then on.

Don't worry about typos and spelling errors julyteen. We all make them and we all (almost all) understand when others do it too. Sometimes our fingers just get ahead of our brains and sometimes it is a language barrier. Mylot is global and there are posters from many different countries. They try very hard but the English language is not an easy one to master.
Just keep on posting and as long as people can figure out what is being said they will get past the typos.

I don't really like typos i try to review my posts while i'm typing them to try not to miss any typos, because it look as if the author of the post didnot really care about his/her posts. That why i try to double check all my posts to avoid mistakes. When i first started on this site i did make a few typing errors, now days i'm more aware of them.

Of course every one makes mistakes and i don't care much about the spellings as long as i am able to read what they are trying to convey. I am also very poor in english so i make lots of grammar mistakes and spelling at the same time and also i see many mylotters do that. For me its not a big problem and i want my fellow mylotters to understand this as we all are not from the same country or in other way from an english speaking country. In our country less people speak english so its very hard to develop a strong accurate english. On spellings and grammar i never judge and give rating.

Oh yea! I've made spelling errors and double posts when I am on my laptop at home. I hate when I do it but, it is human nature to make mistakes so, I just try to deal with it.
I would never rate someone a negative for spelling errors or mistakes. That isn't at all fair. I have only given one negative and that was because that person baited me into an argument. I will never punish someone for misspellings or errors by giving them a negative. As long as they took the time to respond to me in a respectful manner, even if they disagree with me, they will get a positive.
If we forget that "to err is human" than we have gotten to lost in our own egos.

My keyboard is very good at making spelling mistakes and trying to blame me, I do try and proof-read my replies and read it out loud to myself to make sure it makes sense.
I also find some things are hard to explain as its the tone of voice which also helps in a conversation so people dont know how you want things to sounds in discussions and therefore may rate it negatively.
I dont rate any discussions negatively, I have rated a few positively but that was because their replies where fanastic!
I dont think people should rate a discussion negatively due to spelling errors! We're not perfect.

I was kindda hoping hard that I would minimize my mistakes here in mylot too. But it would be something if I can actually post a response or discussion without committing any mistake - grammatical, spelling, syntax, sense, coherence, etc. There are just too many, and what is sad, I keep on repeating the same mistakes often. I tend to think faster than what my fingers can accomodate. That's why, I am really prone to mistakes. I think, for some 10 discussions which I am posting, I am committing perhaps more or less one or two mistakes from each. Yeah, it's kindda difficult. What makes my problems worse is that I am not the type who would read through my stuff again in preview form or something. I just go straight in posting them, so I do not have any chance of correcting my mistakes.
Well, I too hope I would minimize my mistakes here in mylot. And that goes for you as well. So, goodluck.

Hi julyteen, other than making spelling mistakes and typing sentences with one or more missing words. I did upload my photo to other user’s discussion. I had posted my response to a wrong person. Now I am using Firefox where there is spell checker provided when typing in the space provided so I believe there would be no more wrong spelling and missing words would trouble me anymore.

I am always doing it! I type what I want to say and just post it, and then when I look at it after, there it is spelling errors! If I ever notice that people make mistakes in their spelling I never bother about it or point it out, it does not matter it is easy done. I too now try and make sure that I double check everything that I type just to make sure that it looks and sounds ok.

Everyone make mistakes, and its normal. But we have to remember that by making some mistakes we will learn to be more careful next time.
My major mistake so far was my reply about working out, it was last night wherein I was running after time to reach my first 100 post.
I realized that's one good learning I have here in myLot so far, to be careful and should understand well the topic before posting comments.

I swear, I am really careful with what I post and type but there are times when my spelling is wrong!
the biggest mistake ever is posting the SAME TOPIC, I created a new discussion, when I saved it, I lose the connection thru the Net so I log in thru mylot.com and created the same topic when I refresh the page, walla, 2 topics were posted... hehe

Many... I forget that we do not get the option of edit after we press the " Post Response " button. and if we refresh the page, what we had written disappears and never comes back. I usually make small grammatical mistakes, typos, spelling mistakes, unwanted punctuations etc.

It's just the first time I am in on mylot,so seems zero mistakes I made here!Really good! I would try my best to avoid any mistakes I can.But in fact no one can absolutely make no mistakes as long as he/she is human.
So just take it easy when you make mistakes.Pay enough attention to that and make yourself know that it's a mistake. That's OK!
I always believe that one can't make perfection but he/she may mean to pursue.

I make mistakes because I am human. I try my best not to mess up, but no is perfect. So if people can not handle a few errors here and there, they should rethink how much of a vacation they need.

I don't know what mistakes I've made on mylot. I'm sure I've made some, but I shrug and say "Oh well, I must be human."
I'd never rate somebody with a negative because of a spelling mistake or other typo.
