Six years ago today I was in labour with my daughter. My water broke and the contractions really were intense, and I remember begging for mercy, and 6 hours later she was born. I remember her first cries and her little hands touching mine. Today, she is six years old and growing up fast. She is asking me questions, questions I am not ready to answer! I can't believe that same child today was that newborn at one time. I can't believe I am a mom to a six year old daughter! Time sure flies.

Oh what a special, touching post, mbs. Happy Birthday to your daughter. Those memories of the first cry and touch are just precious aren't they? My son is only 3 1/2 but I sure know what you mean about time flying. I try to cherish every moment. Let's both go give our kids a big hug right now!!!

Yes, the same with me too. I had a c-section with my daughter 7 years back. I know I took the right decision at that time. And now with this 7 year old and 3 year old at my tow, I am really wondering how time have flown. Yes it was a very nice experience and feeling to be touched by those little ones and holding them close to me.

Isn't it fantastic how fast they grow and soon she will be in school and then high school and off to college. the years just seem to slip by so fast. Myson is almost fifty and I can remember his birth and lying in the hall with the nurse handing me the phone so I could call my hubby at work and tell him he was the proud papa of a babyboy. He was working the night shift cooking for the movie crew of How The West Was Won that was filming on location in Phoenix Arizona. I also remember how heart sick I was that my mom was not there because mydad did not approve of our marriage.that was so silly i was thirty when we married and my hubby was thirty seven. we were not kids.

Wow, thanks so much for your response, 50 huh? And I am sorry to hear your parents did not approve of your marriage, and its not like you were kids. My daughter is already in school... and will be going into grade 1 in September, scary!!!
