He is ALWAYS so nervous after he sings! Does anyone ever notice this!? He swallows a lot, he has his ADORABLE nervous smile, he isn't sure what to do with his hands/arms. He's so cute! lol. I can just tell soooo well how nervous he gets; even when they say good things about him he still is sooo nervous looking! I just want to give him a big hug! He's so modest! Such a great guy!

i think that is where his charm comes from: his sheepish smile, the surprised look when he is announced safe and heads for the sofa, the hand gesture as if to shake off the nervousness... that is what makes him so adorable and makes me want to hug him to pieces. i wish my little son would grow up like him with a good voice and girls swooning over him!!

lol yes! it all defeniatly is more reason to love him. Yeah I forgot to mention his face when he's announced safe!!! =P So cute! lol. I think every mom would be happy to have a son grow up as sweet and cute at him =P I hope my nephew does!!!

i luv David Archuletta... and HE IS adorable.. cute.. 
he sings well - but probably still not very sure of himself... seems like he knows that he can sing (and sings well),... but he is not so sure if others appreciate his talents, as well....
i hope he stays on to the finals...

Yeah he can defeniatly sing! I just wish he would get a tad more confident in himself! I feel so sorry for him everytime he looks that nervous! I mean...I love it because it gives me an excuse to want to give him a big hug! But I just feel so helpless for him! lol
I defeniatly think David Cook is talented, but he isn't my favorite person in the competition x.x sorry

I have not watched American Idol for a long time. I do think if you are not used to an audience you do get nervous. At least it is after he sings. So it is good that you want to encourage him. It is just that you are not in the audience at the studio with him. I will have to go on Youtube and listen to him sing there. Okay doing that, but hard to hear over the shouts of adoring fans. He is quite good.

Yeah he is really good! If you haven't already you should check out him singing Heaven, Imagine and his duet with One Republic during the finals!! They sang Apologize, David was great! :D

I always noticed that from him too. He always acted like he was so surprised when the judges told him he did really well too. I am not sure if he was really that nervous or may have been just acting like it. It was very hard to tell but he was a very sweet boy and he did really well in American Idol. I wish he would have won instead of David Cook.

Yeah. I am glad that he is doing very well. they just had some auditions for the next show about 45 miles from me. They had it in Louisville, Kentucky. A girl from Indiana got a free entry for it. I hope she does well with it. She is about 70 miles from me.

I don't think he was acting like it. It all just seemed so genuine. And yeah, he was a really sweet guy! I was rooting for him too, voted for him a lot on the finale lol. But I hear he is doing very well! So yay!

Eventhough that is his most reaction i still love David. David appreciates his fans and the cheering every before and after his performance so that is why he reacted that way, he is very shy. So sweet. I want to put him in my pocket and stay there for the rest of my life.

Yes, there is just something about him that makes you just want to SQUEEZE him! lol I think he in simply uncomfortable with the excessive praise, you know? Like you said...modest. Too cute!

He is just so darn adorable, who could not like the kid. He never gets that annoyed look at the judges or gives them smart remarks back. Someone on a tv show yesterday said that he will probably win the competition, but they didn't think he was very marketable. I had to think about that one.

I think hes going to win this year. He does get very nervous, hes just a kid, but he has an voice. I think if he doesn't win he will definately get a record deal out of this he will go far... He's such a cutie!!!

I could see him winning too! My votes are on him and Brooke White being the last 2! And I would be happy no matter which one wins. I actually just remembered Brooke is from Arizona, like me! That would be cool to have two Arizonians win the last 2 american idol seasons! =P hehe. But I like both of them, and hope they both sail straight through! I'm voting for them a lot right now (although Brookes line has been bisy the entire time! lol)
