My daughter is 17 tomorrow but will only be home when she wakes so tomorrow morning we will be have chocolate birthday cake for breakfast complete with candles as we give her her gifts. What unusual food have you ever had for breakfast istead of the normal and why? Please share. Ellie :D

I love to eat cold pizza for breakfast. I do not eat it has much as I use to but if I have cold pizza around I save it for breakfast. I have had chocolate cake for breakfast too. What a great way to start your 16th Birthday, I bet she has a wonderful day. Have fun....

well it is not really uncommon here in quebec, but left over cold pizza for breakfast, sometimes I like that better than hot pizza, but I think that is wonderful the chocolate birthday cake, I would probably never have thought of that.

I hope that your daughter had a great birthday.
I eat whatever I want to eat whenever I want to eat it, so that would include a number of interesting foods for breakfast such as a Mexican TV Dinner, pizza, t-bone steak, stuffed peppers, grilled cheese sandwich, etc.
On the other hand, orange juice and oatmeal can be just what the doctor ordered at six in the evening.

You're making me hungry, too! I think I'm leaning in the direction of a peanut butter sandwich--for starters! LOL
Glad your daughter had a birthday that she'll be remembering fondly for years to come!

She had a wonderful birthday thank you. She had a fancy dress party in the evening which was great fun. I agree it is better to eat what we want when we want it and have been know myself to have cereal in the evning and pizza or curry for breakfast. Steak and the stuffed peppers are whetting my appetite now so I think I'll pop off to the kitchen and see what I can rustle up!. Thanks for sharing. Ellie :D

I've had the most bizarre things for breakfast before; cold pizza, a bowl of cheeze-its, Crunch bars, curry rice, ice cream cake, cake and even fudge once. xD

Pizza for breakfast and pancakes or waffles for supper. Yup. I have always been a little different.

Pizza seems a favourite as an alternative breakfast. I enjoyed the cake and often have cereal in the evening but haven't tried waffles for supper yet and usually only have pancakes Shrove Tuesday. Thanks for sharing. Its good to be a little different eh! Ellie :D

Pancake stacks are the best. Start with a pancake, top it with egg, cover with a pancake, cover with bacon or sausage, top it with a pancake and smother in syrup. Awww, I went and made myself hungry.

Chocolate cake for breakfast...that's every kid's dream, isn't it? :)
I'm sure I've had sweets for breakfast...I guess cake isn't any worse than donuts. I've had leftovers from dinner the night before for breakfast too...pasta, potpie, etc

Yes every kids dream, myself and my daughter had one piece but over the day my four year old managed to munch his way through a fair amount of it. Definately different for me to have as a breakfast food though. Thanks for sharing you unusual brakfast meals. Ellie :D

left over cold pizza for breakfast really isnt all that "weird", and is kinda standard in this house (which is why wed get an extra pizza the night before, just for breakfast the next day!) im partial to cold chinese food, and lasagne. i personally dont see anything wrong with eating cake for breakfast. look at the ingredients.. eggs, flour, milk... technically the only thing that makes it a sposed "non" breakfast food is just simply the way its cooked!

Hi Tessah, Thanks for the birthday greetings, will pass on. Pizza is definately a firm favourite for breakfast I would have sour cream dip with mine though. We really enjoyed the cake but I usually prefer something more savoury to eat like scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast myself, but I do eat breakfast cereal in the evnings sometimes. So I guess it is whatever one fancies to eat really. Thank you for sharing. Ellie :D

Leftover pizza and curry and chocolate cake, because it was my friends birthday, so we were eating all the food off the night before.

I don't make a habit of it, it was only possible because I barely got any sleep, so it didn't feel like morning. I can barely manage a bowl of cereal when I wake up.

One morning, not so long ago, I ate a left over bowl of chilli with some nachos, sour cream, and grated cheddar cheese on it. It was really good, and I really enjoyed it. I don't think there's an appropriate time of day for anything, just eat it when you want to.

it usually depends on what i'm craving when i wake up.
i've had cake once or twice myself.i eat breakfast so infrequently that i usually will eat what it wants.

Thanks for sharing. I have often had leftover pizza and it is just as yummy in the morning than the night before, good favourite choice. I enjoyed the choclate cake but more because of the occasion a bit too sweet for me first thing in the morning. Ellie :D

The strangest thing that I have ever had for breakfast, is leftover pizza from the night before when I have been out drinking! I have not done this for years now but I would get up and just reheat it and have it to get rid of my hangover!
