how to connect to people!!

I am a new Avon representative.Well i have just started out, a few months have gone by.But the response of people around me is very low.
My main problem is that i am new to this place so i hardly know anyone.I would like to meet people, tell them about these products.I do a side business of Amway too but there too i need direct contact with people.This is one thing i dont know how to go about.
Does anyone of you have any suggestions.

you have to go knocking on people's door with your products, convince them that you have great products at great value,
do you have a team leader, ask her to take you around and show you how it is done.

yes it would be hard in a new area.i would go to the local schools .preschools and businesses in you area and drop off some brochures and go back each week or fortnight and collect orders.if no orders keep dropping of brochures until they get to know you.carry brochures in your bag as you may just be able to drop some off any where you go.why don't you hold your own avon/amway party at your home,make up some flyers and drop them off in letterboxes introducing your self as a new representative in the area and inviting people to a party to show them your products.you will come up with ideas,but it all takes time.good luck cheers sue

i suggest you introduce yourself to your neighbors. in the process you'll get to introduce your products as well. chances are they'll also introduce you to their friends who might be interested in what you're seling. do you have kids who go to school in your area? do you send him to school yourself? take time to get to know the parents of you kids' classmates. that should help...good luck!
