I remember I responded to a discussion ,said that I was not annoyed by my noisy neighbors,I've got used to it.Now I have to eat my words. This new neighbor moved last week dives me up a wall with all the loud banging of their great set of drums. They play drums and music all day long and get me really angry when they turn up the volume of the stereo. I really don't know how to deal with that,I 've talked to them once ,they said that's what they do,I should put up with that.Oh man! Do you have a noisy neighbor?do they drive you up a well?

My neighbor beats up her daughter often for even a simple mistake committed by her and the kid goes crazy and cries so loud that one wud stop working and concentrating on whatever they were doing, the kid is just around 3 years who was born after 9 years of marriage of the couple, still they dont seem to value the Gift of God

If your neighbor is seriously beating her daughter up (rather than just spanking the child as form of discipline) then I would find a way to do something. Perhaps send an anonymous note from a "friend of a neighbor" visiting and overhearing the abuse. Some people need to be reminded that privacy is not guaranteed when living near other people. It's nobodies fault but his own that he is being overheard...and perhaps God's will is in play by placing you there to hear and to save this lost family?

Oh yeah, I've had exactly the same problem, but with stereos, TVs and people running around and screaming. I've tried talking to the manager, but they all act like I'm crazy. One manager said "you're the only one who hears it and no one else is bothered by it". Well, yes, I hear it because it's pounding against my wall. It's not pounding against her wall, but mine, so of course I can hear it. Most managers seem to not like confrontation like everyone else and won't do anything else at all. And, most people who do this don't care and think they should be able to do anything they want in their own apartment. I don't really know what to do about this except either move out, or hope that they do. And, most of the time they move out very quickly.

i'm almost afraid to respond lest i end up eating my words like you did. My neighbor can get quite loud with his music. He also sings and plays guitar. If my daughter is having one of her migraines, I have asked him to turn it down. He's been very considerate and even turned it off. Because he is so nice about it, I try to just tolerate it and I've grown used to it so I'm not bothered by it. Do you live in an apartment or house. If in an apt. have you talked to the owner?

I think your best bet is to call management, which allows you to handle your complaint anonymously, rather than confronting your neighbors. Most leases cover issues of disturbing other tenants, and since you have mentioned it to them once already, you did give fair warning. I'm sure some of the other neighbors are experiencing the same noise, and have already called to complain. I had a neighbor that was so ridiculously loud with her dolby surround sound, yet she complained every time she heard my son running in the living room. She came to my door often asking me to turn down my little radio so she could nap in the after noon. But the one time I dare to complain to her and she calls the police on me with false claims for six straight weeks. She has been moved out recently, and low and behold, all the other neighbors were just as happy to see her go as I was...guess I was not the only one she was torturing.

If this is an apartment building, more than likely you can go to the building manager with the complaints, and something will be done, and failing that, the police. This is really only the solution if they want to be a pain about things. If they are considerate and work with you in regards to noise, then it can go both ways in case you ever have loud guests or whatnot. Bottom line is that you don't have to put up with this as well, there are things that can be done to get rid of the noise you don't want. As for myself, I think it was more likely the neighbours would complain about me than the other way around, but they never did, so all good for me. :)

i don't really have a noisy neighbours at the moment which is very fortunate... in the past, when i am still living in a rented flat, we have a noisy neighbour and we just can't stand it... my hubby and i have to knock at their door and ask them to keep quiet... especially at night...

I have some noisy neighbors also. It is not so much the loud music but it is the sound of their loud cars going in and out all of the time. That gets on my nerves too because we try to sleep during the day because we work at night. I hear them every day, all day and night long. It drives me up a wall too because they like to give the car alot of gas and it is loud.

Well unfortunately they aren't doing anything against the law..since you indicate they play their music and bang on the drums during the daytime, from a legal standpoint nothing can be done...now if they were doing this late at night it'd be different and you could call the cops. Also, since you have talked to them about it, it seems they plain just don't give a shat Yup--my upstairs neighbor who thank god doesn't do this anymore, but would play her music REAL loud as early as 6 in the morning...it was usually all the millions of waltzes by Strauss (well seemed like a million) or Luciano Pavarotti..okay ..I do happen to like classical music..but not at 6 in the morning...think that was her way of waking herself up..not the usual way by drinking coffee like most of us

My daughter lives in a ranch house with a large basement. Her son took up drums almost 3 years ago. When he practised it was Boom Boom Boom. I thought I would go crazy when I was there. Couldn't wait for him to lose interest. Well I came to the UK but when I went back I was shocked. The kid is a fabulous drummer he plays with a heavy metal band - not my kind of music but I love to go wath him play. Luckily with him practicing in the basement the neighours couldn't hear him. Here in the UK in the apt next door it is banging doors, loud music and a dog barking constantly. I think I prefer the drums. LOL

Neighbours should always approach a give and take attitude.. If they insist on their ways, eve nafter u have told them, then u just pay them back in their own coins, blast it back.. LOL ^_^ Or another easier approach is to wait, once a stereo has been over blast, it will become softer and softer, once it happens, the show is yours, blast it back double to them.. LOL

OHHHH GOD! I moved away from one building just for that reason! Mine were not playing drums or music but they were redecorating for 2 months:braking down walls and making too many holes in the walls. I used to work 16-17 hours per day and the next one i was free and so on. So after 16-17 hour of work i needed at leat 8 hours of sleep. But i couldn't because they were starting to make noise at 6:30 every morning. I was tired at home , at school and too tired at work. I chose to move!!!
